I've seen some awesomely lame nicknames for our players in the past. Some have caught on (The Reaper), some have not (The Cubillionaire). The Jamailman is my favorite one I've seen of the incoming class. What are some others we could use?
Jamail Jones: The Jamailman
Jamil Wilson: The Jamillionaire (obviously replacing the Cubillionaire)
Jae Crowder: Clam Crowder, Jam Chowder (any Chowder variation really)
Vander Blue: Darth Vander (this one is cringe-worthy)
Reggie Smith: Reginald VelDunkson
Davante Gardner: Rookie of the Year (Henry Rolangardner.... yeah I've got nothing... looking for a horrible gardening themed nickname here like the Reaper.... maybe the Back Hoe?)
Also, I've seen Cadougan referred to as Caddy or Cadillac, but I was thinking Cadoogie Howser would be way worse.
I'd like some creatively terrible input. The lamer the better.
I say this as a white person, this is the whiteist post ever. (I know whiteist isn't a word)
Well I do get sunburnt rather easily.
Davante "scissor hands" Gardner
Vander "my boy" Blue
...Best post in a while by the way
Definitely laughed out loud at "Jam Chowder." Nice post. The creativity is much welcomed after the monotony of the newbill/wilson commentary.
Its too bad DJ Newbill "Oldnews" isn't on our roster anymore. Then again, if he was, maybe this nickname wouldn't be relevant.
Reginald VelDunkson is hilarious and Jamillionaire is pretty good too.
Crowder + Jones + Wilson = Jae Jamma Jamma
Jimmy Butler = JB Smoove
Reggie Smith = The Reg of Darkness
Whatever the nicknames, I just hope Blue can lead Marquette on a Van-tastic Voyage to the Final Four.
(I'm both proud and embarassed by this post)
Blue Moon (soars to the basket. It's applicable, right? OK, it's a stretch) Honestly, his name is so cool without putting a twist on it.
Ja-son (stress the "son") (Jamil wilson (My creativity is overwhelming me)

So I realized that you could include the "i" in Jamil to make it "Jamison." Clearly, happy hour is on my mind. Yes, I know the Irish whiskey is spelled with an "e."
Nicknames just have to come naturally.
Don't force it.
Jae Jamma Jamma and JB Smoove are incredible.
I was also thinking how awful it would be if every time Crowder dunked, they played that horrible Black Eyed Peas song at the next time out but instead of "Pump it - Louder!" it would say "Dunk it - Crowder!"
See for yourself, starting at the 18 second mark:

Just way too annoying for words.
Cadoogie Nights
There Will be Blue
I like Paul Thomas Anderson
Remember Jamail's facebook said Jamail "Eazy" Jones. I think Young Jeazy or just Jeazy would work.
Wilson, Smith & Jones - Dunk-torneys at Law
Davante "Green Thumb" Gardner
or Heavy D and the Boys
Jae "The Crowbar" Crowder
Vander Blue - 128th Refueling Wing, because he's the Wisconsin Air National Guard
Jamil "Volleyball" Wilson - dual meaning on this one

Well done with the Crowbar. It reminds me of my favorite commercials growing up, for Jim "The Hammer" Shapiro.

The nays have it. He lives! But the vote shouldn't have been that close.

The fact that you caught that reference just made my day.
I posted the same thing in a Jimmy Butler nickname thread a while back but was left disappointed.
My faith in the MU faithful has been restored.
MVB! MVB! - because it's Mr. Vander Blue to you

(I was going to reference how we shouldn't be skinning any our players alive, but figured people might take that the wrong way.)
BTW -- we need a new nickname for Rob Frozena, too. Frozen Pizza and The Wild Rumpus have run their course. Is there a term for those people who dance in the background of music videos (other than background dancers)?

How about baby's breath?
Baby's breath is a nice filler but you would never want an entire arrangement of it.

Fluffers? wait, wrong videos. Although "The Fluffer" would be an awesomely lame nickname for Frozena, since he gets the stars ready for their money shots.
Love this post. Like Darth vander.
When it becomes vander's team in a few years...Blue man group.
Even though the spelling is a little off I'm thinking Devante "I ate the" gardner

Wow, I had no idea what you were talking about at first, but I looked it up and this sketch is amazing. Brocktoon wins!
