A long standing rule at MUScoop has been that personal attacks are not allowed.
Over the past few days, we've had an enormous amount of chatter concerning MU's current recruitment issues, amounting to nearly 2,000 messages in a short period of time.
Sadly, there has been a spike in personal attacks, too numerous to moderate. This is our failure.
Please, let's get it together people. Debate the topics, enough with the personal attacks.
Clarification: I assume personal attacks refers to attacks against people posting on the Scoop and not members of the Marquette community in general?
(i.e. You can't bash Benny because he's a moron with an IQ of a cucumber, but you can bash someone like Terri Mitchell because you don't like her political beliefs, haircut, car she drives, etc.)
Oh, shoot, you found the loophole.
I think we have the MUScoop Constitutional Convention coming up in a few years, so let's pencil that in as a topic.
Sorry I admit I did one
The personal stuff cost you at least one poster.
Thank God, I took most of the summer off.
Am I wrong or did Benny B use a thread against personal attacks to launch a personal attack against cucumbers? ::)
We thought about banning Benny. But at that point all the cucumbers had already revoked their forum memberships so it was kind of pointless.
So, welcome back, to the new cucumber-less MUScoop.
