I hope he hasn't sold his soul for these basketball skills.

This kid is blowing up big time. Will be top 75 at least when all is said and done. Right now Maryland and Marquette are the two leaders. Marquette had the lead but MDs recent hire of Bino Ranson who has big Baltimore ties has helped MD get back in the picture more. Just hope Duke doesn't offer as he will be gone in a second but I don't see them pulling the trigger on an offer.

Nick is #5
Could have potential. Anybody know of his HS stats?
Just watched a video of Tony Wroten. I usually dont like youtube highlite reels, but this one was worth sharing. I doubt we are after him but this kid has changed his list of schools several times (and decommited from Washington). It sounds like its either Wash or a BE team that he will eventually choose. He blew out his ACL last year and is getting back into pre-injury form.

Faust is also mentioned in this article as an "Elite Newcomer"
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/basketball/mens/news/story?id=5311703
New ESPN top 100 just came out.
Nick Faust #13. Crazy crazy jump from outside the top 100 to the top 15. Most experts figured he would end up top 75 and maybe push top 50.
Wow, what a jump, I see him at #16 though, not #13.
http://proxy.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/espnu100?&season=2011
Just behind Branden Dawson at 14 and ahead of Wayne Blackshear at 18.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/espnu100
Wow, that was definitely some jump for Faust - all the way up to #16.
After hearing almost nothing about the 2011 class, it looks like we're in a pretty good position with several great players.
#14 Branden Dawson - 6' 6" SF
#16 Nick Faust - 6' 6" SG
#59 Mike Shaw - 6' 8" PF
#72 Myles Mack - 5' 10" PG
I thought I heard we were in the mix for #87 Darnell Harris (6' 8" SF from Milwaukee) as well. That was a while ago though, is this still the case?
If Buzz can close on two of these players listed, we're set for the near future.
I hope Faust likes his visit!

Looks like we need to credit Buzz and staff for once again recognizing talent...consider Jimmy B and DJO..Buzz was ahead of the curve on these guys, and very likely Newbill. Considering the below post..it seems MU was ahead of the rest on this guy..and recognized his skills earlier than the masses.

It's a lot more players than just those guys. Off the top of my head we're involved with(and perhaps in a good position with) quite a few more....and quite honestly it feels like I'm forgetting several.
#10 - LeBryan Nash
#13 - Dorian Finney-Smith
#19 - Jabari Brown
#22 - LaQuinton Ross
#36 - Josiah Turner
#44 - BJ Young
#49 - Ky Madden
#52 - Naadir Tharpe
#54 - Jahii Carson
#85 - Rodney Hood
Unfortunately, there isn't a big man, or even an undersized post player in the whole bunch.
LeBryan Nash just said yesterday that Baylor was the leader. I didnt even know we were actively recruiting him. Where did you hear that?
Some of the guys you list dont list MU as an interest...

We've been recruiting LeBryan Nash since Buzz became the head coach. We may not be the leader, but we are very actively involved.
None of the sites do a great job in putting together a complete list of who is involved with a player. ESPN is generally the worst, but Scout, Rivals and the others aren't much better these days. So not being on that specific list doesn't mean much. We have been mentioned with all of these guys by other sources.
Dorian Finney-Smith cut his list to 6 and is either going to VT or MD.
Jabari Brown doesn't have much interest in Marquette either. But yea Faust was very under the radar and had offers from Oregon State, Delaware, UMASS, Penn State and a bunch of other mid majors. Marquette and Maryland were the two big programs to show him love early and offer scholarships. Now Tennessee and Providence offered yesterday and he is being actively recruiting by a bunch of other big time schools. Hes on unofficial visits to Maryland and Virginia today will be at Marquette on Thursday for a visit.
LaQuinton Ross is doubtful as well. The schools he listed were either in the Northeast where he is playing now or in the Southeast where he is from (Miss.)
Per this Feb 22nd interview:

I don't have Insider access, but this article just came out mentioning Ross and MU. I just don't know what it says :)

The Marquette link there is about Bernard Sullivan a 6'7" combo forward, not Ross.

Thanks man.
6'8", 215lbs. Not too shabby.
Madden also trimmed his list and MU didn't make the cut.
