Not highly rated guys but I suspect Bo Ryan will find a way to make it work for his system and they'll be successful as they have been for a long time. I hate their style, don't think it prepares any of them for the next level, but he makes it work.
Sam Dekker

Frank Kaminsky

From all I've read, Dekker is a pretty talented player. 6'7", pretty athletic, good shooter, good handle. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in the top 100 by the end of the summer from some of the scouting reports I've read. Sounds to be Joe Krabbenhoft with a higher ceiling.
Kaminsky I think's a bit of a reach. Got to see him play once this year on TV, and wasn't overly impressed (was definitely the 2nd best player on his HS team). Would shock me if he got off the bench his first 3 years (including a redshirt year), wouldn't shock me if he get Markolf-ed either after 3 years. Definitely better than JP Gavinski for sure.
Kaminsky goes to me high school alma mater, Benet Academy, in Lisle, IL which sends 20+/- kids every year to Marquette as it is a private catholic high school. I graduated over 20 years ago so I don't know much about him accept that Benet had their first long run into the state tourney this year since my days there in the late 80's and most of this was attributed to people saying our new coach is good but also because of this 6'10 junior.
I wish the world of luck to him but also hope he loses all four times during his career to Marquette.
Also added Traevon Jackson, son of Jim Jackson, to their 2011 class.

Not really comparable to Krabbenhoft. Dekker will have better height/offensive skill, but not nearly as strong/doesn't play as physical. I'd be surprised to see him in the top 100...WI was the only non-mid-major to offer thus far. Nice for a WI kid to get to play ball in-state though. He has an interesting comment on Tokoto... http://www.sheboyganpress.com/article/20100616/SHE020502/6160501/Basketball-Dekker-s-a-Badger

I saw Kaminsky twice this year and he definitely fits the "Badger" mold in terms of his size. He looks 6'9" legitimately, with room to grow. He is not a banger, but was able to finish around the basket and rebounded well.
The reason his team (Benet) made the post-season run was because of their point guard, David Sobolewski, who is also a junior. He has offers from a number of mid-majors, including Northern Iowa.
Dr. Dunkenstein...try leaving the south suburbs once in a while. The kid sucks. Enough said. My nephew played against the kid two years ago in a holiday tourny and he blows. He continues to blow to this day. Pull your head out of his ass, and Bo Ryan's while you are at it. Freaking Badger Lover!

Dude, are you having a bad day? In the words of Rodney King: "Can't we all just get along." By no means am I saying that Dunkenstein is correct because regarding this guy, I have no clue. I'm always glad to hear the other side (so thanks for posting), but if you're certain of what you have to say, why do you feel the need to add the crude insults?
Also, while Dunkenstein wasn't calling Kaminsky a total spaz, he was saying that there's a better player on his team and that kid is only seeing interest from mid-majors at this point. Maybe your evaluation and Dunkenstein's evaluation aren't as far off as you think.
Bo Ryan to Sam Dekker: "I'm telling you the truth when I say I have been waiting for a player with your ability for the past 30 years, and now I have one.'"
Damn, that's the line that Mike Deane used on every recruit he went after.
What's the word on Jim Jackson's kid? I had a Badger fan all happy on him this weekend. Is he good? I mean real good, not just Badger good.

3 star. His final 5 were UW, Arizona State, Miami (OH), Cleveland State, and Akron.
I dont think Ohio State even gave him a look.
Did I read that article correctly? After the Dekker commit, Bo has only one more scholarship (reserved for Tokoto) for 2012 and no more for 2011?
If so, he really likes to close out those classes early.
I'm pretty sure UW has one left for 2011.
