Ohio State rushed the court after the win. Am I wrong in saying that it is incredibly lame for the #1 team in the country to rush the court in any situation?
I don't have a problem with it seeing as it was a tight game over the #2 team and clinched the conference title...
That being said, I want to rush the court. Any students' thoughts on the chances of pulling that off? (from a security standpoint, not a basketball standpoint)
I questioned that as well .. although it didn't seem like a rushing .. more of a .. walking to the court.
at first i had a similar thought. and then i realized that the win clinched the big ten regular season title for them. so i see no reason to object.
The OSU students should take a hint from these guys:

That's a good point, I forgot that this game was for the Big 10 regular season title. I still think it was lame, but they have better reason to do it with that on the line.
Chances of a MU rushing after a big game after a big opponent: 0.000%
Chances of a MU rushing after securing the BE title: 0.100%
The fact that NCAA is issuing fines to schools for rushings means it won't happen here.
If MU wins the BE tourney, by all means, MU should rush the court and suck the fine.
Is the NCAA issuing fines? I thought that was a conference-by-conference thing.
Also, I doubt the court would get rushed at the BE tournament. Not enough students there would be my thought.

it is conferences, not the NCAA.... and it was 25,000 dollars, that is nothing to a school to show school spirit.

It was only $25K because it was the second time. The initial fine was $5k. But I'd still agree with your point.
someone remind me, whats the bradley center's policy on rushing the court? isn't it along the lines of if a few brave souls rush, then they would strike them down, but if a few thousand ran out then they would just sorta let it happen? correct me if i'm wrong
I don't know. We rushed after beating Cincy in 2003 and winning the C*USA Championship, so it must be allowed in some cases. They moved the court side people out of the way and had guards there to make sure we only rushed to the court...so it was not as spontaneous as I would have thought it would be :)
Back in the day, there were seats in front of the students. There are tables now. And it's just TOO EASY for the BC to contain the students the actual surface area on the access for students to the court is very tiny.
Now Syracuse just RUSHED that court. As the buzzer was going off, they swallowed it up almost instantly. I was impressed.
it's darn near impossible to rush for us. There are about 3 feet on either side of those tables for us to squeeze through. that and the BC security staff puts up baracades so there is pretty much no way it would happen unless they allowed it.
