If he averaged 12 and 8 his Senior year at MU we would be talking about the 2009 Final Four for years to come....at least the Elite 8.
6-18 3PFGs?????? Told you guys Crean/Williams just didn't know how to utilize his skills.

easily. Marquette needed a center like the Bears needed a QB in 2006. Enough talent was there to get to the Elite 8 at the other spots. Center was not Burke's position so it is not his fault. He played hard and did every Buzz asked him to do. But I agree with your general point about a center averaging 12 and 8.

Somehow I don't think that playing PF would have magically improved Burke's 2.8 points and 4 rebounds a game.
Maybe his underwhelming career was due to the coaching staff because he couldn't play the two and the offense didn't run through him.
good for him.
their bio about Marquette is surprisingly up to date and accurate.
nice
All that needs to be said is that Dwight Burke is an outstanding young man who lives his life with decency and integrity. He is a Christian and lives by the Book. He overcame considerable obstacles to get ahead in this tortured world. Nothing was given to him; everything has been earned. He has my respect.
