Nothing official, but the buzz from birmingham is that the second may raid the acc heavy. This is viewed as a repeat of the old days when the pac 10 and big 10 tried to keep bama and the sec out by wrapping up the rosebowl. Now they have dominated football for several years and see the big 10 and pac 10 trying to take over, particularly they are ticked at the pac 10 asking for both bids.if the sec does take 4 acc teams, then the BE has a shot to fight out the acc for the 4th league if we grab kansas and can keep the acc from making up for their losses by raiding us again. New twist is sec may take both florida schools and both va schools, which would really give us a shot.while acc has bigger payout now so did the sec over pac 10, and they may lose out to them on the big 12 schools
I'm sorry, what?

Summary - big 10, pac10 and sec are locks to be 3 of the 4 16-team conferences.
Big 12 appears to be dead - so either acc or big east survives. Most assume the acc wins. However, sec talk today is they raid only the acc, and if so that gives the big east a chance to beat out the acc for the 4th and final spot.
Actually, a Birmingham sports columnist reported today that it probably all rests on Texas. The sEC will expand if Texas is in the mix. If not, they probably stand pat. And in the unlikely event they grab a few ACC teams, he suggests they remainder of the ACC, namely the non-football powers, merges with the Big East.
Now that would be a sweet hoops conference.
There have been dissenters, but most sources today have speculated on which schools from the acc.the egos are huge, and they will go to 16 as long as they are jealous of the pac10 and big10 moves

All this talk that realignment will end with only four 16 team conferences is only speculation. At this point its certain that one conference will go and its 90-95% certain that the one to go will be the Big 12. If the Pac 10 misses out on two or more of the teams that it targeted from the Big 12, that changes things. I don't see the Pac 10 inviting Miami and Clemson to get to sixteen. I also wouldn't assume that the Pac 10 would see Mountain West conference members as attractive enough additions to invite them. So then if the Pac 10 becomes a 12 team conference, not a sixteen team one, and there are four more teams in play which leaves more than enough schools for a fifth conference.
I think we have to hope that all of the raiding comes from Big 12 and Notre Dame. I think basketball only schools will be out if Big East and ACC merge.
Another possibility is that the ACC stays intact, and the Big East adds so many football teams from the remnants of the Big 12 and elsewhere that the conference gets to 12 teams without the basketball members.
