I am curious...as a Houstonian, we are serious about Tx BBQ. Is there a local place in Milw. known for good BBQ?
Luther's, a (so-so) Houston based chain tried a location in Milw., but I thought it failed.
Dry rub is texas style--none of that sauce laden stuff from KC, or memphis.
Either smoked, slow cooked, or low heat open mesquite pit.
Brisket (sliced), Beef ribs , link sausage, potato salad, cole slaw, and beans...
I am hungry and havent had lunch yet--lol

Speed Queen is amazing.
Jerry's Old Town in Germantown pretty good. Speed Queen is really good, but only if you're looking for carry out :)
Saz's -- I think they have the best ribs around.......

On state street? ribs?...30 years ago, I went there for the legs, breasts, and thighs-- that would let me buy them a drink...lol
Here is nice rundown of Houston BBQ spots (with juicy photos):

Unfortunately, Saz's has the same clientele as they did 30 years ago.
