...is that at the beginning of the year, even the BE season, most were indicating that a 10-6 or 9-7 Conference record would be likely (and most were happy with this). Well, here we are...we'll be one or the other after Pitt...should we have expected better THIS year? Now if we finish with losses to Pitt AND first round games in the postseason...THAT will be a disappointment.
Yes, we met expectations, but some posters were encouraged by our 8 game storm. We have stumbled of late, but we could start another 8 game run March 3rd.
I have faith in our smalls and bigs.
TC noted in his postgame comments (as reported on the Scout board) that the bigs did not have a good week of practice prior to the ND game. I sure hope the bigs practice well the rest of the season.
The bigs have struggled greatly the past 5 games or so. Barro scored 4 quick points off of penetration in first 2 minutes and only finished with 6 points. I know he got into immediate foul trouble but no one stepped up the rest of the game including Barro in the second half but at least he did get 9 boards.
