MU nails down 2010 home-and-home
After examining several possibilities for a made-for-TV, home-and-home deal beginning in 2010-'11, Marquette University has finally settled on one.

Vandy. There next year; Milwaukee the following year.
If people complain about the 2010 schedule, (which is likely, considering there will probably still be some schools 250+ rpi schools) they should be banned from the site.
Princeton looks to be a quality opponent...113 RPI last year, 20-8 (11-3 Ivy), looks like their top 5 scorers return.
good game but I hate Vandy's court.
Excellent addition to the schedule. Vandy always has some sneaky talent and Stallings is a good coach. Teams seem to mirror each other with the parameters of their play.
I am loving the OOC schedule so far. If MU can land another top-100 team in a guarantee game, that would make for a very solid 10-11 schedule compared to what they've played in years' past.
This, along with CBE opponents should give us a very nice strength of schedule rating--good job
Vandy also features former MU target Lance Goulbourne.
I would have loved to see USC but this is definitely no consolation prize. I know there's lots of talent in the Memphis area, hopefully we can use this to our recruiting advantage.
MU also recruited Jeff Taylor.

I for one think this is a step UP from USC. Great home and home get for the MU staff!

Rereading my post I'm not sure if it came out right. I definitely agree that Vandy is on par or better than USC

I'm with you. This is shaping up to be a very competitive OOC schedule this season. Great job by the administration!
Vandy..... meet Vander. :P
Well I thought that the tournament in Orlando was too tough of a start for a younger team last year. This years young team has a tougher start. I'm looking forward to being wrong again.

this year, right?
The OOC scedule is great and all, but all these teams are extremely loseable. Duke will probably slaughter us

+25,000
It looks a theater where plays are meant to be performed, the entire arena. Anyone think this is going to drive Buzz crazy having to sit on the end of the court?!

I say he's a Marquette fan.... one who must have missed that very experienced team that got BLOWNOUT every game last year. I'm just guessin.
I think we all.. or most of us know Buzz will have these guys ready no matter who we face.
Let's beat Duke, Gonzaga, and Vandy for private school supremacy.

Are we going to drive over to Memphis after the game in Nashville? ;)

TV is the main thing. Why play a another BCS school if you are not going to be on tv.

+1, just an odd setup
Just hope Nashville survives this flood - it's been terrible
