ben brust-a 6'2" sniper from mundelein scored 40 or more 4 times, avg'd 24 fills the gap left by our vander. looks pretty intriguing. then from our own backyard-ben(don't call me mbao) mills signed with colorado-i believe he would have been a real good back-up. eating up 10 minutes per game for gardener. these 7-footers don't grow on trees ya know-yeah he played against a bunch of 6' - 6'5"" ers but could move pretty well and didn't look like he was going to hurt himself too much-a little bit of a project, but expectations wouldn't be all big E or anything
Brust is a good player. He will be a nice replacement for the Jason Bohannon type role. The only issue is that he's a little small.
Mills would not be a good addition at MU.
Brust replaced Markolf who was BOned to open a scholarship for a guard.

Yep. If people think that this was all coincidence, they are fooling themselves.
ESPN gave Brust a good rating.

Ben Mills rating was updated in March and is still not at a Big East level player. The guy is way to small. Good luck to him at Colorado, landing at a Big 12 school.

Honestly between this guy and Duje Dukan, Bo put together a nice class after Blue decommited. Two guys who play high level ball in suburban Chicago who put together solid senior years. Anderson is clearly the worst of the bunch.
Anderson is the best player out of the bunch, as the rankings go.
Trust me...it won't turn out that way.

Your right, I'm thinking the same thing. I was just going off of ESPN ranking. ;D ;D
Smart move by Coach Ryan to push the Texas kid out the door and get a guard in there the caliber of Brust. They really needed a guard and it was good for them and lucky the big guy was willing to take an academic scholarship to leave.
Anybody else think that if Iowa had to do it all over again, they would not have given Brust an unconditional release?
I assume they didn't think they needed to exclude other Big Ten teams because there was a rule in place to prevent him from signing with anyone else in conference. Lesson learned I guess.
Lucky for Bucky! :-*
