Now this would be an interesting scenario. Just takes a few days. No wonder why Brandon Knight did not sign his LOI to Kentucky yet.

ESPN says no. Just using the job rumor for a raise.
He should go. He's a blight on the college skyline.

Really... after 1 year? He isn't cheating that well...
yea, but then how would he "recruit"?

Just using the job rumor for a raise.
You mean
creating the job rumor for a raise. He's a douche. I don't see any way the Bulls would be interested. Last I checked, recruiting is not in an NBA coaches job description. They actually have to coach. From what I have seen, that isn't exactly Calipari's strong suit.
i hope he goes. everyone except maaaaaybe the Bulls get what they deserve in that scenario (assuming he crashes and burns - again). sidenote: the Bulls should be on the horn with Avery Johnson. he would've been the right choice for a young coach players can identify with the first time. they're just lucky they get a do over before someone else picked him up.

It would be the first time Calapari ever had a salary cap!

would he "sign" any of his players to more than a 1 year contract?...also a first!
CREAN TO KENTUCKY
If Cal leaves Kentucky and his players ask out of their LOI's
1. Do they get to keep the signing bonus?
2. Are they eligible for severence?

He could probably recruit Lebron since they are BFF's
Coach Cal is the Pete Carroll of college basketball. He's a great coach when his time is significantly more talented than the opposition. You will rarely see either one of them out-coach their opponent. Outbid? Now that's a different story.
The closest Crean is getting to Kentucky these days is the drive-thru at KFC.

It's Kentucky, It's Kentucky!
Or, IK, IK!; as it's put two posts above.
This wouldn't surprise me. It would mean that he feels that he's about to get caught again and it's time to move on before something sticks to him.
(see Memphis, UMass)
As much as I would hate to see him as the Bulls head coach, he is good friends with Lebron and I would love to see Kentucky go into panic mode again.
You are all also forgetting that he was Derrick Rose's college coach at Memphis and they have a strong bond.
Trust me, the Bulls want to keep D Rose (and his family) very happy.
kentucky says they will work to sign johnny c to his retirement-what was crean signed to? 8 more years? what the hell does it matter? geez-when is a contract ever honored anymore?? you get all lawyered up and these fackin guys will convince you the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. you know the economy is getting bad when the lawyers have their hands in their own pockets

They all honor their contracts...their contracts have buy out clauses.
