Love the hat but could we have gotten him a better t-shirt?
He's big, but I don't think he looks 3 bills. Also consider, conditioning at MU will get him in better shape.

Sorry Bout that Davante!
I'm sure that the Spirit Shop was sold out of the XXXL tshirts.
He looks much smaller here than some of the other pictures we've seen from other points of his high school career. With proper support and training, I don't think his weight will be an issue.
I found online where Jay Copeland is listed at 6'6".
At 6'9 is 280 even that big of a problem? It depends on his muscle mass, the typical DE in football weighs 280-300 and usually is only 6'4 or 6'5....he may very well be 280 in that picture. It'll be nice to have a huge guy on our side for once in a long while.
ZFB, you must have spent some time as a carnie, how much does this young man weigh?
One thing is for sure, his Ball State buddy has massive shoulders...
He looks great to me! Welcome aboard, buddy!
PS: That t-shirt is an embarrassment and the hat is even worse. Let's get him some gear, Buzz!!
The hat is top of the line. Looks like a fitted 59-fifty.
The shirt is awful though.
I like this quote a lot:
"I like the basketball program and the style of play there," Gardner said. "I like the way they push the ball up the floor because I like to run. I like their offense and their intensity."
Doesn't sound like a loafing, ledfooted center to me.
