didn't think we could keep up the intensity all game after that hot start, but what the heck happened to pin us down by 6 at half?

nasty finish to an otherwise tough first half

We are about to go from a "shoe in" two weeks ago for a Top 4 seed in BE Tourney to dropping 4 of last 5 and falling to middle of the pack in BE.

This was the Villanova game in reverse. We hit a few 3s early and started settling for the jump shot for much too long a stretch. ND finished the first half on a 32-13 run.

That collapse was aided quite a bit by the officials, who whistled McNeal for that ridiculous offensive foul, and the half ended up with ND shooting 17 FTs.

Lab-

I agree the officiating was pathetic. The "foul" on Matthews to foul out of the game? These guys were on a different planet. ND is beatable, and Fitz played like a 40 yr old at the Y.

The only guy that had a worse game than Fitz was Jimmy Dykes for ABC...what a spaz. That guy is a total moron.

Foul shots brought ND back, and foul trouble disruped our defensive pressure and offensive flow. Officials dictated the outcome.
