Can anyone tell me if Marquette is involved in the recruitment of Darell Longsteet out of Kenosha? I have some contacts who know the family. Nice kid. Thought given his location and high ranking might be of interest for MU. Any insights?
3 high schools in 3 years, academic issue, not that good
The moving all the time is because of his mom, not the kid. She likes to move around a lot. Best thing she did though was move out of inner-city Chicago and get the kids to Wisconsin.
Darrel's a nice kid. Hopefully he can use his talents to his advantage.
will he be playing @Bradford or Tremper next year?
I forgot which school he started at and which school he is at now...
I know he had trouble last year and from the quotes by the coach at Tremper HS - it was pretty easy to infer that he didn't want to deal with him anymore. I was hoping tofind the article, but no luck. I don't know if he is worth the trouble for his talent level. I think UW-GB & UWM have made offers so far
Don't know much about this kid, but wasn't Caron butler a troubled youth from Racine?
He turned around...
He's a nice young man. But he doesn't want to go to school.
I've heard of us being involved with two point guards from next year's class, but not this guy.
You know that Racine and Kenosha are not the same place, right?

They are basically the same except that you can't speed in Racine.
Truancy, lack of academic capability, and a lack of work ethic will deter any/all chance of Longstreet going to a D1 school.
His family is crying foul after Kenosha Bradford let him know his academic shortcomings and 80 truant days wouldn't fly. Where were they the past 2 seasons when he was building up this track record? Figuring his talent would allow him to skate, that is where.
