I know someone said in a previous thread that coaches can continue to recruit kids who verbaled (not signed a LOI.)
But is this unethical for Calipari to do so? It just seems wrong...

QuoteKentucky coach John Calipari called Jones after his announcement and Jones was on the phone for a very long time. About 15 minutes. Reading body language, Jones seemed pained.
He told me, "You hurt thousands of people just as much as you make people happy."
Jones' mother said if he hadn't chosen Washington, he was going to pick Kentucky.

Jones called Calipari, not the other way around.

Jones called Calipari, not the other way around.
Just as bad, if not worse. The kid decided to be classy and tell Calipari himself, and the dirt bag turns it around to try and pull him back on the merry-go-round again.
Jones should have waited until he had signed with Washington to call Calipari with the news. Except then Calipari would have already known and refused the call.
