For me its thunderstruck. We used to play the song thunder struck, stand in a circle, and you would have to drink until thunder was said in the song, where the next person would then start drinking till thunder was said, etc. The song has two pretty long guitar solos, screwing over one or two people.
I play Thunderstruck as well. Position 15 and 19 in the circle are where you get screwed.
Roxanne by Police is also a good one. Alternate drinking between Roxanne and Red Light.

One night at MU we made up a game that whenever you heard a word in a song that started with the same letter as your first name, you had to drink. My name starts with an R. Roxanne kicked my ass.
Only played it a few times.
Civil War is one I like. It's like beer pong on crack. You put two beer pong tables together and have 2 teams of four players. Each player has 3 cups in front of them and you keep shooting non-stop (unless of course, someone hits your cup) until your cups are gone.Much quicker than beer pong and much more of a team game. Lots of strategy, such as getting out the best player or shooting to the closet person.
While that is neat and all, it is totally predictable.
Here is a game my coworker described to me. They play it during the NCAA tournament first weekend.
5 kinds of liquor are bought prior to the games starting... 2 easy drinkers (pucker, dr. mcg, etc.), 2 middle of the road drinkers (captain mo, goldschlager, jager etc.) and 1 pisser (Wild Turkey, Jose, etc.). You will also need 6 shot glasses, 5 normal, 1 double shot (I hope no one minds sharing!). Also needed is a single six sided die.
So, the game starts like this:
You and your buddies (hopefully more than 6) are watching the games. Everytime a 3 point shot is attempted it is the first person's "turn". If the shot is missed, it is the next person in line's turn. If it goes in, shake the die.
1 and 2 are easy drinks
3 and 4 are medium
5 is the beastie.
6 is the DOUBLE SHOT
You take what you shake. If you get a 6, you shake again to see what you double up on. I know what everyone is thinking... "What happens if I get the double shot twice in a row!?!". Sorry, its a bad bit of luck for you, and you get two double shots.
As you can see, this game is easily modifiable to what you like to drink, and don't like to drink. Alternate ways to play is to make 1 a reverse (like in UNO) and the guy whose turn it just was, gets the shot instead. There are a lot of ways to play it.
Anyway, its a great way to work drinking into the NCAA tournament first weekend. Looking back, I should probably have posted this a month and a half ago. Oh well, next year you will all be prepared for...
The "3 point shot" game.
Anyone here play baseball? Combines boatraces/flip & beer pong?

Forgot about baseball, that is one of the greatest drinking games ever
As the parent of a 2 year old my drinking game is as follows....
Set off to get some mudane household chore done, and in the process see if I can finish one full beer before I am interrupted.
This is why I switched to a stronger beer.

Spin the bottle
century club
name game (say a celebrity, next person needs to have a first name with the first letter of the first's last name.)
4never is a fan of the biscuit game, but that doesn't have to involve drinking.

I thought the thread was called "Best Drinking game you don't think anyone else plays", not "Common drinking games".

Oh I liked Civil war... fun game but I always lost the ping-pong balls.
I always played Presidents and Assholes, not my favorite but fun.
I tried to play the Boondock Saints drinking game once... never again
I'm a fan of One Up One Down.
Forgot about the game I made up, called bullseye. Dart/drinking game, each round people throw 1 dart dart at the bullseye> Every time you miss, drink 1, and pour some of your beer into an empty pitcher. Whoever hits the bullseye first, gets to decide who has to chug whatever is in the pitcher. And yes, you can decide to drink the beer yourself too.

power hour especial
every 10th minute / song shot of tequila
dominated in 60 minutes
Freshman year at McCormick each wing on the floor was allowed to have a 1/4 barrel in a room, Friday/Saturday, with only ten guys in the room drinking it.....You had to sign up in advance for your weekend night and turn in your list of 10 guys and keep the door closed at all times.
To keep the drinking moving along we would cut a deck of cards and the low guy had to drink 60 shots of beer in one hour....sounds easy but with all of the air intake it is not easy as it sounds.

You sound like Richie Cunningham: "we just drank beer outta teeny-weeny glasses..............72 of 'em."

We didn't do it....only one person (low card) was stuck doing it. Just funny watching someone try and drink 60 shots of beer, one per minute, 5 beers in an hour....try it sometime, not easy.
Rawdog and another guy killed a keg in a weekend. 2 guys and a keg.

see above, power hour...its easy if put to music, it helps pace you.
but if you don't stand up the whole time it hits you like a ton of bricks at the end.
