Man Iowa State must be a bad job. It's basically a MAC school in a BCS conference.
BTW, that's the second time Creighton hired a coach away from a BCS conference. Altman came to Omaha from Kansas State.
I'm not surprised to see McDermott move. He's generally done a great recruiting job in a not very favorable situation, then he has Wesley Johnson transfer to 'Cuse. Creighton does not seem to have unrealistic expectations for its coaches, yet on occasion they do well. I think McDermott will be there for a while.
Sultan,
Please check your email (MUScoup) for a email I sent to rocky warrior and copied you on. Thank you.
Wow that sucks for Scott Christopherson
who really cares about Christopherson right now? He LEFT our program...

So did a certain coach, but that doesn't prevent many people from caring about everything he does. Just saying...

Lol I'm not sure where this personal vandetta you have against me came from brah, but you can jump off my cock any time now. This is going to be REALLY fun when you follow me around and reply to EVERY post of mine. You're the one who embarrassed yourself in the other thread, I just added to the embarrassment there already was.
At least Christopherson was once associated with MU. McDermott was not. If you think everything on here has to be about the current basketball program get on the original poster. Get on everyone who talks about Wade's and Matthew's playoffs games. They're gone, right?
Doucher
Wade and Matthews did great things for the University and are representing MU very well in The Association. Christopherson didn't do anything for MU. The original poster was referring to a legitmate move in the college basketball coaching landscape and you tried to come in here and steal his thunder.

I didn't try to steal anything. I was pointing out that it sucks that Scott Christopherson goes to one school where the coach leaves, then transfers as a result, and that coach leaves. Does that not suck?
Jump off and stay off
it might sucks...but who really cares

What a douchebag
why would you even bring up Christopherson when the topic was talking about McDermott and how it affects the coaching carosel. No one is asking about Scott's feelings because coaches keep leaving him
Maybe Christopherson has hellacious bad breath or something. There must be a reason he keeps driving away coaches.

Good God man, who took a dump in your Cheerios?
It's a message board. If you haven't ever been on here before, it's not unusual for a thread to take off on a slightly related tangent every now and then. This isn't a threadjack or anything.
How is Scott Christopherson relevant to this? Well, he's a former Marquette player. He seemed to flourish a bit this year under McDermott, which many of us here were happy about. And now his coach is bailing on him. So naturally, there's going to be some people that want to talk about Scott and how this is going to affect him. We may not necessarily start a new thread, though, to do that.
If you don't want to talk about Scott Christopherson, if you don't want to talk about if someone saw a recruit or not at the Broken Yolk, or anything that's not meeting your posting standards, you're not required to participate in any thread on this board. Just throwing it out there.

He hit a big 3 against Cincy when we were having a tough stretch of games, and it kind of sparked us on a nice winning streak. I haven't heard anyone say anything about Christopherson as a person. I'd say he represented us well. It can't be easy to be on your third coach by your junior year (4th in college). He's a former player and left on good terms so I think people want to see him succeed.
This crap never happens on the Scout board.

I actually don't know, but I've heard the threads over there can die for months at a time.
CALLING ROCKY WARRIOR
Please explain how this thread and the "Anybody know" thread both of which soon deteriorated into a series of provocative posts by mu35577 followed by a piling on by those hopeful of giving him a clue, and those who are just venting on him "What a douchebag" are fine to continue, while my small attempt at humor by making fun of myself in the "Hey, Sultan of Bruce Wayne thread presented such a danger that it had to be shut down.
Is the difference that you missed what I was saying in my post, but you understand "What a douchebag"?
Maybe the last sentence was unfair, but when you "lock" what I thought could be a humorous thread started by myself right at the start, and then I read this crap that you're fine with letting continue, well, I get pissed from what seems to me to be a lack of consistency.

Actually, I forgot about Christopherson and would have mentioned him had I remembered. No one was stealing my thunder...it's a message board for goodness sakes.
It does suck for him. He's a good guy who simply didn't live up to his expectations, and the two coaches that believed in him enough to offer a scholarship both ended up leaving their programs.
Iowa State's program is a mess right now. They've had several transfers recently, not to mention that McDermott's kid actually chose to play ball at UNI next year. Maybe he was well aware that his dad was trying to get out.

So much for the Iowa State distress call. Fred Hoiberg leaving the T-Wolves to coach Iowa State. I think this could be the underrated hire of the offseason.
