Tide land 2010 big man
Alabama added Humble, Tex. power forward Jason Carter to its 2010 class on Friday, ESPN.com's Mike LaPlante confirmed.
Carter, one of the top remaining big men in the senior class, according to LaPlante, chose the Crimson Tide over Ole Miss.
ESPN.com says the most impressive part of his game "is his motor and physicality. He plays with a reckless abandon on the floor, but knows how to do it without playing wild."
"He posts hard and wants the ball on every possession. Jason does a good job of routing out position getting big and wide while showing his hands for the ball. He is not overly skilled in the post, but he does know how to score right around the rim.
"Defensively, he's a monster on the glass who goes and gets balls. He does a good job of using both his feet and strength to fight for position on the block. This is a very good late sign for the Tide because he is a big who plays with a motor."
Carter joins ESPNU 100 guard Trevor Releford along with Charles Hankerson and Kendall Durant in the Alabama 2010 class.

It probably doesn't hurt since I think Cothron said he would like to play right away. But there may not be a spot for Cothron with the big men visiting campus this weekend.

I'll believe that when someone signs. Until then, it's just more of the same - interest, but no commitment.
The folks at Auburn believe Cothron is signed, sealed but yet to be delivered to Auburn. It sounds as if he needs to get his academics in order first.
I still think that this is all fantasy and no one else signs for next year.

Unless the commitment comes from Dieng, I hope to stick with the current roster. He has been tearing it up lately, and has only been in the country since last October. Due to that fact, it seems he may be very underrated.
