His second half felt like Jean Felix redux.
Elston Turner (jr), leaving Washington, is the son of Elston Turner, former 1st round NBA pick of the Rockets, who is now an asst coach w/Rick Adelman on the rockets. (you know you are old when kids names ring a bell because you followed their dad's carreers--lol)
If there is MU interest, its time for buzz to book a flight here--
My real guess though is he'll come back down to A&M, or Baylor-- poss UH, as UH just hired back Alvin Franklin, Pat Foster's UH recruiting asst, to work w/Dickey, and revitalize UH recruiting/relations in Htown

We were interested back in 2008. I remembered his name and found the Rivals link.
Yes we were, but the thought was - and was true - he'd go West.
I bet he ends up at Butler.

Butler?
Houston kid leaves west coast team to go to school in indy?
Elston senior (dad) grew up in Knoxvile TN, was a star at Old Miss , ...after NBA, young elston was raised in Sacramento, and Portland, while dad coached with adelman. Indiana is only a place on the map to this family.
do you actually you know something on Elston going to butler, or did you simply just pick a name from the 64 team field?
Does it matter that no butler player is from west coast or texas, andthat 10 of the 14 hail from indiana?
Hou warrior... I thought you've been on here long enough to know teal means sarcasm?;)

no worries. :)
back to the topic..to an MU fan, Turner's announcement is a year too late!
his coach guesses UT or A&M.....
"Washington coach Lorenzo Romar told reporters he was surprised, but not shocked by the transfer of guard Elston Turner.
The sophomore who hit big 3-pointers coming off the bench during the Huskies' late-season run into the Sweet 16, would have had a chance to compete for a starting role on a team that could contend for a Pac-10 title.
But Turner, the son of an NBA assistant coach, will move on and become one of at least a dozen players to transfer out of the Pac-10 this offseason. On the radio, he said he didn't want to be labeled a 3-point shooter and wanted to go somewhere to expand his overall game -- like closer to home at Texas A&M or Texas. "
