Just surfing through ESPN.com and found this story. Was surprised to see Roseboro's name and not really sure what to make of it.

I blame Crean
There, got that out of the way.
The article makes it sound like the players were defending someone rather than attacking.
Defending with a knife? And with twice as many guys? I agree it does sound as if it was defending a friend but unless there is something else that isn't brought up in the article that happened you have to question what they were thinking. That being said, at least they controlled themselves enough not to go even further, especially since they already stabbed the guys it could easily have gotten a lot worse.

Point plnkn.
Stabbed for mean-muggin'?
Nowhere in the article does it mention that a St. Bonaventure player stabbed anyone. Could have been a fellow student or someone not related to the university.
Brett is a "Beast"
When "keepin it real" goes wrong...
For a big, who averaged a mere one board for about every 8 minutes he played, that's the most physical play he showed the entire season.

Point plankin.
"Who you callin' a ginger, son?!?!?!"
The AD says the 4 players were "drawn into a fight."
Who in their right mind picks a fight with guys who are 6'2", 6'3", 6'9" and 6'10"? Andre the Giant?
The fight was not necessarily four on two. Just two victims are reported because only two guys got stabbed. But elsewhere I've seen that the fight was between the two schools basketball teams. More information that I gleamed appears below.
"New York State police charged four St. Bonaventure University men's basketball team members with violations in connection with a fight against Jamestown Community College (JCC) basketball team members. The March 21 fight resulted in two JCC students being stabbed.
Malcolm Eleby, 20, of Philadelphia, and Lewis Leonard, 22, of Olean, were charged with two counts of harassment in the second degree and one count of disorderly conduct. Brett Roseboro, 18, of Allentown, Pa., and Da'Quan Cook, 22, of Elizabeth, N.J., were charged with one count of harassment in the second degree and one count of disorderly conduct, according to a state police press release.
The four men were served with criminal summons to return to Town of Allegany court May 10 at 4 p.m. The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests are pending, according to the release.
Violations are considered non-criminal and less serious than misdemeanors and felonies. Violations rarely result in jail time, especially for first-time offenders, according to The Buffalo News...
The fact remains that some of our players were drawn into a fight, and they'll need to answer for that. We hold all of our student-athletes to high standards, not just for their performance, but for their behavior."
I'm thinking that none of the four has been shown to be the knife welder since they haven't been charged with at least misdemeanors.

what does "point plnkn" mean?
This has to do with Trevor Mbakwe and his texting. He would text this when he meant "point blankin'", I think.
I thought it was a Ty Taylor thing.

Nope, I believe that it was Trevor Mbakwe. If I'm wrong, I'll admit to GOMU1104 that I'm a charlatan.
Pretty sure it was a Tyshawn Taylor facebook status around the time he got into a fight with the football players.

Geez, it was "point blank", not even "point blankin'". Well, I guess to go to Kansas on a basketball scholarship, you have to spend as much time practicing b-ball as you do texting friends.
I will let this one go...No sir, a promise is a promise.
GOMU1104, I am a charlatan.
Those softies at St. Bonnie's got nothin on Johnnie Lacy and Providence.
Correction:
They have nothing on Fisher and Reynolds.
