I saw one of the incoming freshman for next year on campus yesterday walking back from the broken yolk with Jimmy Butler. I know that the NCAA doesn't have any rules on friendships but Im not an expert on the NCAA but it got me thinking that at some point isn't there a limitation between the coaching staff and the players. Can anyone enlighten my curiousity?
I visited MU as a high school senior before starting in the fall. I can't imagine there being anything wrong with it just because the kid is an athlete.
It was Vander Blue that he was with, and he has been here a couple of times already. How could there be anything wrong with a friendship between 2 future teammates?
It's spring break for madison schools too, before someone laments about Blue skipping school to eat eggs and bacon with Jimmy F*ckin Butler.
Literally ten minutes ago I saw Vander walking with Jimmy and Mo outside Humphrey Hall.
Just in case anyone is wondering, Vander no longer has the styles in his hair, though he's still got the awesome "B.J. Upton" faux-hawk going.
I think Vander and Jimmy are really close from everything I have seen recently
I think Vander is spending the better part of this week here.
Saw him at the Dogg Haus last Friday with Jimmy as well
How talll does he look in relation to Jimmy? Jimmy has to be about 6-7 in shoes since he is a inch or 2 taller than Lazar and Joe. Reports have been that Vander is close to 6-5.
I would say he is 6-3 I was standing pretty close to him and he didn't look too much taller than me
Saw him at Dogg Haus on Saturday. Everyone was talking to him and I heard him say, "I'm gonna take ya'll to the promise land." Also, he's nowhere near 6'5 more like 6'3.
He slumped at the end of the year in high school. I hope that this slump was because he lost focus and was only thinking about MU and a summer of him getting even better. He better bring it next year cuz if we don't wanna be in the cellar of the big east I think we need him. People are underestimating how much Lazar did for us. Jimmy could easily only average 10 points without Zar here because he will be the focus of the defense. I'm very intrigued with what will happen next year

Let's all hope so
I hope he can just hack it.
Vander and Cadougan had their own little workout going on Saturday. I was at the Al for a volleyball game and they popped their heads in for a few minutes dripping sweat.

Even though I like both, Real Chili is a Marquette Legend, as the bumper sticker on my laptop says so I have to agree with you
yes vander is spending his whole week of spring break in milwaukee working out with the whole team. I assume the rest will join him as they are wrapping up their seasons.

If we get a heavy dose of this combo, its because of they're building this chemistry now. Cool to hear.
Vander will be trying out for USA Basketball's U-18 Team that will compete in the FIBA U-18 Championship. The tryouts are from June 17-25, with the tournament taking place June 26-30.

Because of this he will be missing some of the summer workouts...for a damn good reason. Its good to know he is coming to campus early to get ahead of the game!
