for DJO to SHOOT.
I dont care if hes missed a couple already, I want him to shoot and keep doing it. If hes off one day hes off. I like our chances of him being on more than being off. His Pump fake is great but overdone. It will be so much better if he shoots more.
Just SHOOT DJO, I dont care if you have 3-15 games.
This is a big offseason for him. He sometimes didn't know what he was doing when driving, so hopefully he will get polished.
But I agree, almost any time he lets it fly is a high percentage shot for Marquette. He'll be a tough matchup.
He needs to work on his mid-range game as the pump-fake works, but he needs to know what he wants to do with the ball after it works. I don't know what is mid-range FG% was but between that and yes..practicing free throws he will be unstoppable next year if he improves.
That being said he had a great year and exceeded expectations, since mine weren't high for him this season.
All I want for next year is a sweet sixteen. Can't take any more heartbreak at the buzzer.
The sweet 16 would also be very nice
DJO will step up big next year. He already knows what he is doing--being a stud!
I'd also like to see Vander come in and have an impact in his first year. Additionally, would be nice to see Otule make it through a season healthy for a change!
I would like to see Vander blue averae 10+ppg and i would like to see Erik Williams not be completley worthless like he was this season.
I would also like to see DJO cut down his turnovers.
I'd have to agree with someone above: Otule's health can be the difference for us. At least the other teams would have to box somone big out of the lane when rebounding. That would free up Jimmy and DJO to use their athleticism to get boards.
The second thing is for Fulce to be the Fulce of the second half of the season for the entire year. Hitting his shots and hitting the boards.
DJO needs to start hitting his free throws at least at 75%. It amazes me that a 50% 3 point shooter only its about 65% of his free throws.
If Vander comes in and averages 10+ points I think we are in for a great year. DJO and Jimmy should put up numbers that will equal Zar and Jimmy last year. So we will need someone like Vander or Crowder to be around DJO's last year numbers. Im confident that Vander, Junior and Dwight will equal or exceed Mo, Cooby and last year Dwight in numbers. So if we can replace DJO's 13 ppg then we should be great.
No single player will equal what 'Zar was able to do this season.
We are talking about scoring here. Im pretty sure DJO and JB can reach the 33 ppg that JB and Zar did this year. The rebounds should be much more as a whole since we will actually have some decent size this year.

At least until Otule breaks his third foot
Otule the human tripod.

I just want them to finish top half of the Big East. Sweet Sixteen might be a big ask.
a 5 star big ink with MU.
Hey, the thread title was so wide open so I went for it! :)
