What folks saying about MU
- In case you missed it earlier in the week Rosiak took a very early look at which MU players are most likely to emerge as leaders and go-to guys for next year's squad (http://www.jsonline.com/sports/goldeneagles/88977412.html). Rosiak also talks to Buzz Williams about the heightened levels of competition for playing time he expects with next year's roster.
- If you can't get enough Buzz Williams look for him on the tele. Williams was hired as a guest studio analyst (http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/89047462.html) for the NCAA tournament on CBS College Sports Network.
- With the off-season coaching domino season just beginning, Buzz Williams says he'll remain true to MU (http://www.jsonline.com/sports/goldeneagles/88881442.html). Of course, this is college basketball's most cliche storyline but one that must be written, I guess.
- So MU is full-up on scholarships for the 2010-2011 season right? Well, maybe. IWB reports that Marquette is one of the schools who has offered and is actively recruiting 6'4" combo guard Patrick Swilling (http://marquette.scout.com/2/956656.html) from New Orleans.
- Congratulations to MU commit DJ Newbill as his Strawberry Mansion squad advanced to the state championship game last night (http://www.philly.com/inquirer/sports/high_school/89095412.html). Newbill had 12 points in the 49-47 win over Imhotep last night. Mansion will play South Fayette for the Pennsylvania state title (http://www.observer-reporter.com/or/localsports/03-25-2010-sf-prep-semis) on Saturday in State College.

So, who knows more about Swilling?
I get so nervous everytime I see one of our players names as a thread title....
Swilling may be a fine player---but we do not need another frigging guard. We need bigs.
I love Cadougan's humble confidence. He knows how far he has to go and how hard he has to work but has no doubt that he will get there.
I think Buzz should try for a project big rather than another guard. Or at least a 2 year JUCO to balance the classes. It is interesting how many big name schools are looking into that kid though. He must have been overlooked his whole career.
We have two project big men who will be here for 3 more years. Adding another makes 3 roster spots going to big guys that we are hoping contribuet. That seems like a lot of roster spots to take up on projects if you are trying to win a conference title.
If yous is the transfer like a lot of people hope and we replace him with a guard, even a big one who can play the 3 or 4 in our system we only have 1.
Hard for me to support that move. Even if Blue Plays himself into the NBA by his sophmore year we have depth at the swing/guard position for a while.
If someone else is that transfer i could buy into it a bit easier, but I don't want to see anyone go.
Am i looking at the same swilling? He plays football too and his basketball doesnt have MU listed even

Same guy. Scout lists are run by the national Scout.com writers, and are often wrong. Neither his football profile nor his basketball profile have an up to date list of who is actually involved in his recruiting.
alright thanks, do you know anything about him and if hes got good potential or not?
