Some of you may not have seen this in the Cracked Sidewalks thread, but definitely worth a listen. I liked what I heard in this press conference, and think what he had to deal with in Madison this year (after de-committing) to UW and going to MU will only make him tougher, better, and give him a motivational chip on his shoulder. Clip is only 3 minutes long:

Done...sorry for any paranoia caused..I see your point...
Thanks and what a sad world to make this young man feel this way about his IN STATE choice for a college career.
Totally agree w/ his coach about the timing of the award. Way to punch a kid in the guy 20 minutes before tip off.
Back in the day, legend has it that Gosz told Dupree Fletcher before the state championship game that Mike Nelson (not Fletcher) was going to be awarded Mr. Basketball. Fletcher went off in the state title game, and embarrassed Nelson, who eventually won the award.
Jordan Brand Regional teams announced this morning. No Vander.

Agree about the timing of the award, but TJ deserved it. He is the model of what sports should teach a kid about life. He is using BB to achieve his larger goals in life. He probably won't sniff the NBA, but he will be a great asset to his family, his employer, his alma mater, and maybe even MU. He comes from an MU family, and will probably be an MU supporter if he comes back to MKE.
