Willy Kouassi??
ESPN's Recruiting site only shows 5 players considering Marquette at this point. Branden Davis and Keith DeWitt seem like the obvious "top two" in my mind.

I'd love to have Dawson and DeWitt. If we could land those 2...watch out. We'd seriously contend for the 2012 National Championship.
DeWitt originally commuted to Mizzou but didn't qualify. He still lists them so I'd have to assume they're the clear leader for him.
If Indiana is a bottom feeder in the Big Televen for the 3rd straight year next year I'd have to assume that that would play a heavy roll in his decision. Unless he wants to help rebuild a historically great program while staying close to home (couldn't blame him if he did) then I'd think Indiana would drop on his list. Evenif he did want to help to rebuild the program they would need to start filtering in talent with their 2010 class and bring in more than just Dawson in 2011. Even if he wants to rebuild Indiana, from what I've read it sounds like he's a 1-and-done talent so there's not much time for him to do that.
Wouldn't mind having Turner as well, but having Cadougan and Smith already in the program, along with Blue being able to run some point if needed, a point guard isless needed. It sounds like he wants to stay put west, too.
Anybody with anymore information on any of these guys it'd be great to hear.
If we can get a 5-star wing in Dawson of course he should be the priority. I had read somewhere that he is more of a Purdue lean if anything (I saw that randomly on a message board a while ago so take it for what its worth). I agree it's only a matter of time before Indiana gets some more instate kids. However, Gary, IN might identify more as a Great Lakes/Chicago area person rather than a Hoosier. Who knows though. I'm sure Izzo will push hard with this kid right in his back yard.
DeWitt fills an obvious need with size. Lots of potential here. Gotta have confidence in Buzz.
I hope your optimism comes true with Dawson, but seems to me that it's Purdue & Michigan State as the leaders with likely Purdue the choice. IU trying, but unlikely. At least what I'm hearing from out that way.

Sorry didn't mean to imply that I thought we had the upper hand on Dawson (behind maybe Indiana). I just meant to suggest that if IU isn't very good again next year he might eliminate them, eliminating what seems to be one of his top 5 or so teams (which Marquette appears to be in, since he is listed just about everywhere that Dawson has a list). I have no idea where Dawson is leaning, I would just love to have him.
I would love it if we landed Dawson, then id be fine with either DeWitt or Turner. But please find a way to get dawson
I just want the dude named Cinemon. That's a baller name.

Sounds more like a stripper name.
Wait, is that what you meant?

4 * SF 10 Rodney Hood
(Meridian HS)
Meridian, MS 6-6/175
Can someone with Insider access give a synopsis?
All that I can see is: "Right now, the schools that I am looking at are Florida State, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Marquette and Mississippi State," said Hood

Bowers is not at Nicolet, and might be in jail.
Bowers is at King HS and has been playing AAU with Playground Elite.
Question is will Bowers ever be eligible to play HS ball.
Case to Nicolet to South Kent Prep to King. 3 transfers since the end of his freshman year and he hasn't even finished his junior year yet.
don't forget about jammin ben "the killer" miller ;D

There was also that thread the other day about Ky Warren, think that was his name. Sounded like an outstanding scoring option, probably a shooting guard.

Purdue
Tokoto, by the way, now says he won't announce until mid to late in his Junior year
Just found a really good article about Branden Dawson from late last year, not sure if it's been posted yet, but a good read. Looks like he's worked hard to turn around from a rugged childhood, and will continue to keep working hard to play ball:

But that was prior to Mizzou landing Ricardo Ratliffe, so maybe his thinking has changed.

If you check out the Michigan St boards, there is a rumor that we are the leaders for his services at this point in time.
Link to the MSU boards?

I saw that a little while ago. I don't know how much stock to put into it because someone else on that thread said Purdue was possibly out, but I think they are considered the leader. Everything I've read seems like Purdue and MSU are the leaders, although when I see it on message boards some people usually sneak in a "don't be surprised if he ends up at Marquette"
If Buzz was able to get Dawson, I don't care who else comes in that class. I would call it a success. Knowing Buzz we'd still get some pretty good players in addition to him too.

Its in that thread somewhere. The actual rumor comes from their Rivals premium board, so I cant actually read what it said there. Also there is this blog saying the word on the street is that it is down to us, Purdue and MSU---
http://www.purduebball.com/2010/03/branden-dawson-is-really-really-good.html
Dawson would be a heck of a replacement for Butler/Fulce...Some of the national guys believe he is one of the best rebounders in the 2011 class, even at just 6'6".

I don't put much stock in it either but Chicos seems to think that Purdue and Michigan State are the leaders so I thought I would throw this out that there is at least some talk from other boards that we are serious contenders for his services.

I agree, I'm not taking much stock in it either, but on page 4 of that forum it is said that some of their premium board members are saying Dawson to Marquette and seem to say these posters have been right before. I'm not sure how they would know this now, though, as Dawson has said he will make a decision sometime in September and still had his list "cut" to 10, so until Dawson says something himself I find it hard to believe those guys truly know what he's thinking. I have to say I'd love it if they were right, though.
