At the end of the ND-DePaul game tonight, the ND students started chanting "Bring on Marquette!" That's a far cry from when I went to an ND-MU game in the late 80's when ND students put their tickets down on the sidewalk in front of the Joyce Center for anyone to take.
Also, the freshman point guard at ND, Troy Jackson, wants to prove that he's in the same league as Dominic James. Sounds like he likes to create imagined slights to get fired up.
Should be a good game, and if MU plays tough D, I think they can win.

If MU plays tough D, they WILL win.
Glad to see them fired up, because we're going to bring it. I know a ton of MU students who are making the trip to South Bend for the game, it'll be a battle on the court and in the crowd.
Nothing would make me happier than to be the single blemish on their home record this year.
Making the trip down Friday night as part of the Section 106 regulars/alumni canarval wagon. We sang Ring Out Ahoya in the parking lot last year and nothing would give me more pleasure than to do it again.
I'm going with some friends - about 12 students. LOTS of students going besides us though. It should be a great atmosphere.
That being said, I have a bunch of friends at ND and despite having an excellent team this year, many have trouble naming two or three starters. Most of my ND friends MIGHT even make the trip from their dorm to the Joyce (I've been told this doesnt happen often).
I hate ND.
I'm going with 4 of my friends, but we are 5 of 50 students that I know got tickets. Probably besides those that said they were already going.
There are at least 50 students that are going down to ND... A friend of mine was able to get blocks of 20 and 30 tickets, which were sold to MU students. I know there are others outside that group that are also going, so it should be a solid MU contingent there.

Well Done SoCalstu09. Notre Dame Sucks, we will see whether their fair weather fans show up.
I bought 13 tickets. Me and my 12 closest friends will be headed down there on Saturday, along with a lifesize cardboard cutout of Ousmane and one of those big swirly things used at the BC to distract free throw shooters. Not to mention gobs and gobs of facepaint. Let's get rowdy!
It will be a tough game. Like Depaul, ND has a lot to prove by beating MU & it would be a huge win against a top 20 team. MU will need to find motivation to win this one - Crean will need to work his magic with a note in hayward's sneaker or something.
the MU fans are gonna be there in force, if we can play solid D the entire 40 min, I'm really excited for Saturday...gonna have a blast painting South Bend blue and gold!!

Um, Notre Dame's colors are also blue and gold, so I think most of the painting is already done. Therefore, you might want to leave your brushes, spray cans, etc. at home and focus on cheering Marquette to victory! ;D
Have fun!
Postgame trip to Corby's!
We can play pool against the townies like we did last year.
