Im sick and tired of them coming on to our boards and giving us crap. Do they realize that they beat wofford. Do they realize that we have more final fours than them. Do they realize we have won more games in the ncaa tourny then them. Do they realize we have a more storied program then them. Do they realize we have had better coaches and better players that have gone to marquette then at wisconsin. Do they realize that Buzz is a great recruiter and has already formed a dominant group of kids in the coming years. I just wanted to get that off my chest.
Being a Marquette fan in this state always requires a chip on the shoulder. Don't sweat it, just take comfort in everything you just said, and relish being the minority in the State of Wisconsin that actually likes Marquette (as a basketball school, or as an institution).
As you can tell, my chip is rather large.
I have them in my Final Four. College basketball is weak this year, they could go to the Final Four or worse.

They're still playing and we aren't. They are better than us this year by a good bit.
how can u say that there still playing. ur statement is true but they played wofford. do i have to repeat. wofford
When we get a 3 seed we can worry about playing Woford. I agree with Chicos, I have the Badgers in the Final Four. The bracket is breaking perfect for them.
I'll be cheering for Cornell tomorrow....hope I'm wrong and Wisconsin bows out early.

I just hope that the Cornell athletes don't get outsmart by the rocket scientists on the UW-Madison b-ball team! I am sure they can swap stories about the admission standard rigors they had getting into their respective schools. :P
Washington could beat this Wisconsin team.

What? Who? Where? I've know we've got one badger fan that posts here occasionally, but this place is pretty badger-free, FWIW.
Just saw the score as the wife and I are tile shopping....looks like Bo's boys didn't show up. Barely got by Wofford and destroyed by an Ivy League school.
Glad I was wrong about them...at least we showed up. LOL
Go Warriors
Nothing more "redeeming" than a Wisconsin loss!
I think I'll adopt Cornell as my Cinderella team. Go Red!
I know this really doesn't do much to ease the pain of any loss, but at least with our defeat we can still keep our chins up. Especially if you look at the way Washington absolutely dismantled number 3 seed New Mexico.
It's great to see our neighbors to the West beat Wofford by a mere 4 points in their first ever NCAA tournament game, then get slaughtered by an ivy league team with no athletic scholarships. I know the Badger fans will use their flawless logic to say "1 win is better than none" but I don't think they can be proud of the way their team came out in this tournament. Especially since this was the final tournament for Hughes, Bohannon and maybe even Leuer (though I doubt he'll go to the NBA. If he did it would be a mistake)
Schadenfreude sustains me right now. I feel bad for Wiscy losing to a school with lower academic standards that lets superior athletes play street ball up and down the floor. Bucky just got out-athleted today by an inferior academic institution.

Tile shopping with the wife instead of watching Wisconsin go down? C'mon Chicos, you're better than that.
Most amazing thing about the badgers in this tournament...
Jason Bohannon dunked the ball

I would much rather watch the hoops but we're gutting the kitchen and have to get all this done this weekend. I hate this crap
Glad UW lost. I'm sure Fran will say it's good for basketball

Yeah Chicos... Cue the Jim Nance commercial about you needing to get rid of the skirt! ;D

and probably got pulled by Bo for not playing the 'Wisconsin way'. Maybe that was the cause of the HD F-you's from Bo today.
I wonder how much of an impact this would have in Wisconsin recruiting. Not a HUGE set back for WI but definitely not an upper hand on MU just by beating Wofford by 4 only to get wiped clean by an Ivy!
For the Badgers to call themselves "Ivy Quality" is a slap in the face to the Ivy League teams! Cornell made sure of that!

Wisconsin is awful at recruiting anyway. They rarely sniff top 100 talent.
As someone who went to both Marquette and Cornell . . . if I had to have MU lose, Cornell humiliating the Badgers is about as good as it gets.

UW showed up. But the recipe to beating them is to match them on the boards and shoot lights out. Exactly what Cornell did. They're good. Will give UK a game if they're able to stop the fast break easy baskets.

I hate UW as much as anyone, but lets not ignore facts. These are the RSCI Top 100 players since Bo has been there:
Evan Anderson (2010...although he may fall out completely before it is said and done...)
Jared Berggren (2008)
Jon Leuer (2007)
Trevon Hughes (2006)
Jason Bohannon (2006)
Joe Krabbenhoft (2005)
Marcus Landry (2005...not in the RSCI Top 100, but #63 by Scout)
DeAaron Williams (2004)
Greg Stiemsma (2004)
Brian Butch (2003)
Boo Wade (2002)
They were also very close to landing Evan Turner.
I respect what's been done there as well. Why can't we all just be friends?
Do not underestimate the skunk hair

Once MU got bounced, little interest to be honest with you.....and this beats getting my nuts snipped like some guys do during the tournament. A new nice kitchen = a happy wife = a happy Chico.

I am very very glad that MU didn't have to play that Cornell team. I'm afraid the results wouldn't have been all that different to what they did to UW.
