Hope he goes classless in the postgame interview on the officials. I know Buzz will credit UW and they deserve credit for winning..quality team...but...the officials also deserve to be ripped.
Let it go. We had ample opportunities to win. Would you want Washington to whine if we won?
I really think it hurts Big East teams in the tourny to have to stop playing hard, physical basketball after doing it for 3 months. The change in officiating styles favors mid-majors a lot more than it does the power conferences, which is evidenced by the struggles of the Big East today

Like he did last year? You guys don't want to make a habit of your coach being a poor sport.
Anyhow, great game guys. I loved the disparity, the first was neck-and-neck the whole way, the second half was huge swings.
I love Lazar. Finally got to see him give some pre-game interviews, and he's one heck of a kid. Smart, funny, and a killer player on the court.

Winners survive to play another day. Losers complain about the refs.

Yeah and losers are people who are armchair basketball fans, many of whom have never played the game at even the high school level, who criticize the coach of a team projected for 12th in the Big East - who lose a virtual road game to the Pac 10 champ..who..was pre-season ranked 11-14. Officiating matters, it played a HUGE role in the outcome of this game..and if that weren't the case MU would be the winners who survived to play another day.

I never said a word about Buzz. We lost. Get over it.

What does that prove? How does that help MU basketball in the long run?

It certainly doesn't hurt MU basketball in the long run, and I don't know that Bob Knight didnt' get his fair share of calls in games, due to officials being intimidated by him..and..for him voicing his opinion on the subject. Buzz has a right to have a beef, and I'd rather him verbalize it, than play it politically correct.

Obviously not suggesting that....but....taking the high road doesn't always get you respect - in most cases, yes, but in athletics, the coaches who berate tend to get more calls in their favor: Huggins, Knight, Parcells, etc. Nice guys finish last, and while Buzz is a good guy, he has a right to verbalize what was a very poorly called game. It was all he could do to NOT get a T tonight..and since Buzz has been coach..I think he's gotten maybe 1 (Notre Dame and rightfully so), or 2 technicals? IT's not like the guy is a habitual whiner.

how about hoping he takes a class ho how to win close games? maybe there will be a lesson in not letting up with 10+min to go with a double digit lead. how many games did they blow big leads in this year? 4? 5? loss today, FSU, and NC St. (i forget any). hell, L'ville cut it to 9 from 20+, but we still kept an up tempo game and won by 21. look at Ohio U today, got a big lead on G'town, and kept rolling. Momentum can shift fast in this game.
blaming the ref's is a cop out for sure, we didnt lose the 15 point lead based on unfair calls from the ref's , we didnt play defense at all and they totally took us out of our game, and butler had the worst performance of his year tonight that destroyed us on offense,
sure they harrassed moe and david but deal with that adjust.
and the whole oh yeah i played high school varsity ball at little sister of the poor high school is really a lame argument, there are tons of people that never played the game at a high level that are rediculously knowledgable of the game, and some that even coach it, ,......... let the armchair quarterbacks have their fun !!!!

Clearly you qualify as the armchair quarterback that didn't play the game at even a little sister of the poor high school, and are ridiculously unknowledgeable about the game of basketball. We didn't play defense at all because the officiating put us in foul trouble early in the game and we only go 2 deep on our bench, and even Fulce got 3 PF's in 15 minutes of action. We couldn't risk matching the physiciality of UW because we'd been called for moving screen, a tick tack foul on Mo Acker on the 1st defensive possession of the game. Armchair all you want, but please understand that officiating can play a huge part in a game, and in this game, and numerous other iffy calls on MU. If the officiating were at least consistent between the 1st half and 2nd half, I can live with taht...but it was enitrely different in the 2nd half...at least from the perspecive of UW being able to play very, very physical defense..and yet we are getting called for fouls on the defensive glass on a 50/50 ball between Jimmy and Pondexter.

Do you honestly think Buzz is going to get respect by bitching out the refereeing in a post game press conference? To me, that's lame ass stuff.
