Title: The Big East has looked TERRIBLE in both Tournaments
Post by: KipsBayEagle on March 18, 2010, 02:29:37 PM
This is really a follow up to the nit thread, but wow.  Villanova barely squeaks by robert morris with the help of the zebras, and notre Dame gets taken by Old Dominion.  Not too impressive so far.

Who cares.  As long as MU wins that's all that matters.

True, who cares unless it's an indication of the relative strength of the conference.

The NIT doesn't matter.  Therefore the Big East has looked terrible in 2/8 of it's sample size.  And if Nova wins a couple more games their performance today will be forgotten.

Both Villanova and ND couldn't both make the elite 8 anyway, which is what really matters.  As long as it's still possible to get 6 BEast teams in the elite 8 (the max we can get with the draw) then it's all good.  ODU is a good team.  Not so sure what was going on with Nova, that's kind of a head scratcher.... seems like they're having some locker room/attitude/chemistry problems.
