Is it inappropriate for me, an MU fan, to wear gold MU garb to the BC even though MU doesn't even play that day?
I'm conflicted whether it would be construed as
1. me representing my team, or
2. being that jerk that wears a Sox jersey to a Brewers v Cubs game.
theres going to be so many casual fans at first round games that I dont feel it should be a big deal
Your school is hosting everyone there, so they can get bent if they have a problem with your MU gear.
Wear your MU gold... you can be an eye catching ambassador of Milwaukee. I'm sure people will be leaning on the Marquette locals for advice on city hot spots.
The official hosts at the HP Pavillion wore things with SJS on them yesterday during the open practice. I would suspect there will be others at the game today.
I think you would be ok wearing MU gear. We are hosting it and should be able to let others know that we are, well, awesome.
Kind of like the Frozen Four, you wear your team's jersey/colors, regardless if they've made it that far or not.
I'll be wearing my MU stuff tomorrow.
Heck yeah you should wear your MU colors. If anything it shows you're a fan of Big East basketball.
I agree, I would wear my MU gear at these games. Its not nearly as offensive when morons wear Cubs jerseys/hats/t-shirts to Brewers/Cardinals series.

That's apple to oranges. The equivalent would be wearing Brewers gear to the Cubs-Astros or M's-Indians games that were played at Miller Park.
I say, wear your MU garb proudly!
No brainer-wear it!
I'm wearing my Marq fleece - and proudly!!!!

Jerseys are another story and I am not that guy. I wouldn't wear my #3 D Wade jersey to the Bradley Center if I was watching the games. That is just my opinion. I would wear a MU sweatshirt or a fleece.
But I would also like to say that a hat is a hat. I wear a white sox hat exclusively. So if I go to a T-ball game I wear it or if I go to Brewers vs Twins game I wear it. So anyone who has a problem with it can get bent.
If I end up getting the tix for tomorrow I'm rocking the MU gear for sure and cheering on Pitt!!
Not as bad as the dorks who wear Badger crap to MU games, I just don't get it.
