They Say Watching Basketball Tournament Is Good Way To Recover; One Clinic Even Offers Pizza And Peas
Are you a man planning to have a vasectomy? Urologists say this is the perfect time, as March Madness is set to start.
Urologists say men should get vasectomies three days before the college basketball tournaments begin. They have been encouraging this for years.
That way, they will have an excuse to sit in front of the TV and watch the games, all in the name of recuperation.
Doctors at one Chicago-area urology clinic are even throwing in freebies.
The doctors at 21st Century Urology in Orland Park are offering free pizza and a free bag of frozen peas to help with the swelling.
"Just think, the perfect excuse to sit around, relax, and enjoy the games!" the clinic says on its Web site.
The clinic has also been advertising their pizza-and-peas promotion on local sports radio.
The urologists at the clinic, Dr. Robert Bonzani and Dr. Tony Mammen, bill themselves on their Facebook page as "the go-to guys for vasectomy in the Chicago area." They specialize in vasectomies that don't require scalpels.
The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development says a total of about 50 million men have undergone a vasectomy, which corresponds to about 5 percent of all married couples of reproductive age worldwide.
By the way, you can watch March Madness starting March 16.
Don't do it like I did it, 30 hours before your wife goes into premature labor. The baby was fine but the boys hurt for 2 weeks. Take the time and rest like I couldn't.
Don't do it 3 days before the tourney begins. Do it the morning of the first day. Then you recover for 3-4 days with your tv and you're back to normal by Monday.
Don't do it like I did drove myself home with a manual transmission
Also make sure to have plenty of ice in shorter than walking distance for 36 hours
