seton hall's herb pope ejected for punching a texas tech player in the nuts (twice!)
Seton Hall's Herb Pope just got ejected for punching a Texas Tech player in the groin in the first round of the NIT.
Not exactly Papal conduct if you ask me.
He did twice to the same guy - once under Seton Hall's basket and then as they were running down to the other end he did it again to the same dude. Unreal.
You certain about that?
And then Bobby Gonzalez protesting the subsequent ejection vehemently. Probably upset that he got caught.

Umm yeah, it was clear on replay Pope punched the dude twice in the nuts.

I just thought it was funny that Gonzo was more red in the face arguing than the guy that got punched in the balls.
Not surprising, but funny.
Is the dude a capon now? Or singing like a canary? Or was Pope just feeling amorous?
Straight shot, right to the baby-maker! ;D
Seems like it's always Seton Hall...
Sounds like Cincy!!

Wise man once said, teams are an extension of the coach's personality.
The TT guy must be wracking his head about what made Pope go nuts! ;)
And so it starts...........
Pope Touches Young Man in the Balls. Didn't this headline already make news last week?

Pope's just a baller
Perhaps Pope should work on his ball-handling skills?............
Just goes to show what a bad influence Nutter was on Pope...........

Not very discreet.
He misunderstood this week's coaching lesson about snagging those 50-50 loose balls.

Thank you, thank you...is this mic on? Thank you....please, tip your waitresses
Typical cheap shot by Bobby G's worthless team. It's too bad that the good alumni of Seton Hall have to watch this program pull these dirty moves...
Didn't we just talk about how they've repeatedly tried to take out Marquette's players?

Nutter missed his calling. Nut-ter with a shot to the nuts?
Bobby G had front seats to that last one. See him go over and talk to Herb? See him say ANYTHING to Herb?
I say it was a calculated hit.

At least someone there is kind of, sort of taking notice.
In another NIT game last night a player from Jackson State gave Dee Bost from Miss St the same kind of "treatment." I guess these guys are ready for the offseason to start.

Chris Paul did the same act in his final year to NC State, just bizarre action on the court

What a mess. I have no idea why they think that holding onto Gonzo is a good idea at this point.
They've really gotta fire Gonzalez. He just plain sucks.
This time of year I try to pull for all the Big East teams. However, that kind of play is just pathetic. Seton Hall is bush league bigtime. The coach should be fired for that.
I am so proud to have Buzz as our coach. Class act and he would never tolerate any crap like that. His focus is on doing right and being the best you can be, good basketball follows from that. As we can see, Seton Hall never got that message.
Wow.
