Title: Most of the ESPN analyst likes Marquette in this game.
Post by: dopeboy206 on March 16, 2010, 08:20:56 AM
I remember watching ESPN on Sunday when they had a panel of 8 guys breaking down each game for the tourney and I think all of them favor and expects Marquette to win. I hope my Huskies can prove them wrong. ESPN for some reason is Anti-Pac-10. Maybe because we don't have a TV contract with them? Who knows. This game will be interesting. Marquette scares me more than any of our second round opponents. New Mexico is a good team but to many UW fans like me Marquette is a scarier opponent..

Usually, we use teal to indicate sarcasm.

ESPN for some reason is Anti-Pac-10.

I hear people in fly-over country complain about coastal bias in the media all the time, but this has to be the first time I've heard the west coast complain about the east coast.

Is this how the rap wars started?

On UW boards I keep hearing the implication that MU is from the East Coast, yet we are located in the Midwest.

Didn't you know that the people on the west coast consider everything East of the Rocky Mountains "East Coast".

Plus, we are in the Big EAST.

why bother look things up!?

I am just going to go ahead and assume that Washington is one of PAC-MAN'S 10 favorite teams.

Is that really surprising for a 6-11 match up?

Yes, I think every matchup under the 4-13 is someone's sleep.  Although, I fully expect Purdue to lose the 4-13 matchup against Siena.

I really think most people are just going to look at this and pick Marquette for 2 reasons: 1. They hear the Pac-10 is down this year and Marquette is in the Big East, which is tops accross the country OR 2. They will simply look at the seeding and that's it

I don't think MU or us MU fans are overlooking UW though, they are a talented team and can definitely give us a run in this game.  I think it comes down to tempo as UW likes to run and MU likes half court slow play, so we'll see, but I'm confident we can slow it down better than they speed it up

I think MU likes looks to run if they can but then will pull back and go deep in the shot clock if the fast break isn't there.
