Not all that surprising. But he actually sounds knowledgable about MU Hoops:

Lets not turn this into a political thread. I posted it because I actually thought he seemed knowledgeable about the teams.
yeah - who'd he pick to win that game? Does he go w/ the Milwaukee team or the state team given his Gubernatorial aspirations....I think I know the answers....jerk....
He still has the brace on his hand from when he was a bad ass and stepped in as a good citizen this summer outside of state fair
That moment alone would get him my vote if i still lived in state, guy actually cares about the people he represents not just w/ words but w/ his actions.
Tom Barrett 4 Govenator 2010

Right. You just wanted to plug your boss.

Actually looked to me like he was reading notes off a script he had behind his bracket.
it did look like he was readin' notes and I don't blame him the guy is prolly to busy to watch college hoops.
he gave 0 insight to why he thought we would win, he picked both us and Wisco to win based on our seeds in the first round. He then went on to say Kansas repeats the title. wowow

he actually did, I just wanted to give you a hard time. I'd expect people to do the same if/when Scott Walker and or Mark Neumann make their picks.
UW vs MU does put him between a rock and a hard spot though. Both from WI, I'd expect him to pick his Alma Mater though >:(
I also advocate Barrett growing his stash again

I like the trend of politicians filling out brackets. I think Obama helped himself in the general election by going on espn and showing that he wasn't as arrogant/aloof as some people may have thought.
Honestly, I'm happy with the level of knowledge Barrett displayed. He generally knew what he was talking about, but it doesn't seem like he spends too much of his time on college basketball. If he would have dropped something about Wisconsin upsetting Kentucky because Wisconsin's slow tempo (340th fastest team out of 347) I may have demanded a refund of some of my city of Milwaukee taxes.

Looks like this years' tournament has come around at a good time for him then.
Who did he pick to win between MU and UW-Madison (not to be confused with the real UW, who we play on Thursday)?

UW-Madison.
Yawn...another politician making bracket predictions to show how "he/she is a man/woman of the people." Somebody wake me up when an animal at the zoo goes on the news and makes predictions based on team colors.

and finished his college degree at MU?? The man thinks he should be our Governor, yet he can't even qualify as a Division 1 coach.
I am fine with Barrett's pick. Just as long as Governor Doofus does not pick us, I am great.
He showed up the FF rally, donned a gold shirt and sucked all the mojo from the room.
Hopefully, he will make the trek down to Jacksonville to see the People's Republic of Madison and stay clear of our team.

I am tempted to ask what that post even means, but then I remembered how completely irrelevant this entire thread is. Next.
Obama picked MU to the Sweet 16.
Yawn...another politician...seriously, it will be news when a zoo animal makes it's bracket predictions until then it's career politicians trying to show us how they think they are average beer drinking Joe's.

1. Scott Walker does not have a college degree.
2. You need to have a college degree to be a Division I head basketball coach.
He thinks it's ridiculous that someone who could not qualify for a relatively unimportant job (e.g. head basketball coach at UW-Green Bay) thinks he should do an important job (governor of Wisconsin).

If getting your butt whupped without getting a single punch in makes you a bad ass then I'm *definitely* a huge bad ass!
