Congrats on a great season so far.
Checking out some posts its nice to see you so confident.
Your guards are a big strength and will serve you well in the tournament.
We will be lucky to beat you , but make no mistake we can.
I'm sure your players are not as sure as some of you of a win.
The best thing we can hope for is for you to look past us, big mistake.
We don't have the best team, we are inconsistent but like you we are tough. I love the match up for that reason. You are small but really hustle and never, never quit. We are similar. Even though some teams have put up good numbers on us we still get it started at the defensive end as you will see. Overton who comes off the bench drives everyone crazy, the best on the ball defender we have ever had. And very quick. Not much offense from him but he can hit the three and if it comes down to a free throw he is money. We ususally put Holiday on the best scorer, quick, smart and very long. He will cause havoc all night long. Thomas is better on the offensive end. Being a lefty makes getting to the rim easier. Pondexter is our best player. Has all the moves and is patient in traffic also a great finisher and rebounder. Plays good D but not great. MBA our center forward finally woke up. Horrible early in the year, this lead to many losses. He has his confidence back and has made all of the difference down the stretch. Should be fun. We also have a great bench in Turner and Suggs. Best of luck, may the best team win!!!
Poll added. -- I don't think you'll find many "so confident" MU fans. Sure, I'd bet the poll will have a number of votes for MU, but only in a squeeker.
Nice post. Good luck to you guys as well.
I watched Pondexter a few months back and he sure can score. He kind of reminds me of Hayward for us, because of his size and the way he plays inside and out. It will certainly be a challenge for both games!
Thanks ibite, welcome to our board. I for one like Coach Romar, and usually root for you guys to win because of him. Not this time, but good luck.
no worries on overconfidence, we only know how to barely win or lose :P
I keep hearing about how good these on the ball defenders are for the huskies, but I don't think that will be much of a factor. Our team doesnt beat you off the dribble to the rack like in years past, now its just pass pass pass pass pass, open guy. I feel very confident about this game.
I am one of the not so confident guys. From watching Washington in the Pac-10 tournament, these guys are good. As soon as I saw we drew Washington, my first thought was, "Its gonna be a good game."
I am from St. Louis and my family has had season tickets to St. Louis University basketball since I was born, so I got to see Romar coach for a few years... I like the guy. He is a solid coach and always has his guys playing tough.
I took MU, barely and hope it pans out by a bigger margin for us, but it is gonna be a fun game to watch.
Good luck to both squads.

Thomas is better on the offensive end. Being a lefty makes getting to the rim easier.
I wonder if we put our lefty (DJO) on him on D...hmmm...I donno if lefty on lefty is any advantage (DJO is quick though, and has a chance at keeping up with Thomas *sometimes*).
Anyhow, wanted to thank all the UW fans for stopping by - good breakdowns of your team, and I'm not sure anyone here has reciprocated yet. As for this poll, don't take it as overconfidence, more likely a little optimism that we'll win, but as you'll notice, we usually "barely win" or "barely lose". Forget the last Gtown game, that was not indicative of the way we've played all year. Notice we beat them back in Jan too...
