Cincy, Seton Hall, St. John's, UConn, USF all playing.
What a joke, UNC is a four seed. At .500 they have the worst record in the NIT and probably shouldn't have even made it... despite their talent.
1 seed Illinois traveling to 8th seeded Stony Brook? wtf?
Interesting
No UWM
Two months ago more than one Scoop poster was speculating about an Indiana vs MU NIT game. Who would have guessed a #6 seed in the Dance for MU and the lowest RPI in either the Big 10(11) or the Big East for the Hoosiers?
5 BE teams in the NIT
13 out of 16 BE teams made post season play. Thats pretty good
Quinnipac got jobbed
Looks like the CBI website is overloaded ..

The NIT needs to make $$$$$$. That's the answer right there.

Shows how respectable the tournament is.
Working now...Damian Saunders' Duquesne team might be the best one in it. UWGB also playing.

Scheduling conflict in Champaign: Cirque du Soleil. No kidding.
So the CBI is out .. http://www.gazellegroup.com/events/cbi/cbi10_bracket.pdf
UWGB is in, as is SLU.
What's interesting .. the championship? It's a best of three series!

Oregon St owns the CBI
Count me in as one of the people who thinks SLU could win the CBI.
They're a one-seed, with a relatively easy path in Indiana State, then UWGB/Akron. Majerus has them playing great perimeter D (#1 in the country against the 3 per kenpom) and I personally think they got snubbed for the NIT. The Bills went 11-5 in the A-10 this year, finishing fourth, including two wins over Dayton (home and away), a win over Richmond and a narrow loss to Xavier. Some bad losses early on, but they went something like 5-3 against the RPI top 50, and 15-3 at home.
