That regional is terrible and they're playing great. Villanova is playing bad, Duke is beatable, Purdue's Hummel is injured, Baylor? Texas A&M?
That regional is up for grabs!
according to digger just now their the team to beat.....shocker anyone?
Yes they could. So could George Mason a few years ago.
The regional isn't terrible. Duke is tough, Baylor is a sleeper FF team, Texas A&M is equivalent to ND in skill, etc.
I think ND's chances of beating Baylor are about 1 in 4.
Guys, it's Sunday night, put down the crack pipe.
If we had the same final two weeks as ND, there would be talk about success-maybe not final-four, but certainly Sweet 16 or better.
They beat Pitt twice (a #3 seed), Georgetown on the road (#3 seed), @Marquette (#6 seed), within 2 points of West Virginia (#2 seed)--by any standard that's solid performance down the stretch.
I don't like ND any more than the next MU fan, but if you're going to give credit to the Big East for being tough, then ND's performance the last two weeks deserves a huge amount of respect.
No, because they will struggle to beat ODU. ODU beat Georgetown this year.
Baylor's good. I'm happy we'd be playing New Mexico instead of Baylor.
Hey PRN, you could not be more misguided about that, amigo.

+1
Baylor is coming out of that little pod and going to the Sweet 16.
I must add that I would much rather see ND make the FF than Wisconsin. If Wisky somehow got to the Final Four I would puke.
I think the winner of the Baylor-Villanova game throttles Duke to get the Final Four. The bottom half of that region is MUCH tougher than the top, unless Louisville magically shows up for two games.
I think that if Louisville is playing well and obviously wins their first game, they could give Duke a run for their money. When they play well they can beat top notch teams (Ex: Syracuse twice). While I don't think this is the most likely scenario, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
