Title: How Jimmy Butler saved the program...
Post by: ErickJD08 on March 14, 2010, 07:20:31 PM
As a side note to all the bracket talk, I was thinking about the future and I think JB saved the program.  He played a good role last year and is a team leader this year.  This year should have definitely been a down year and he was a major factor in our success.  And the way that transformation from last year to this year took place is what will set the tone for Buzz's tenure.  JB is in the spotlight and is a leader because of his hard work.  I think JB will be a great example for the young players (JC and EWill) in our program to come in and understand what it takes to be a leader on this team.

I propose we rename the practice facility the Jimmy Butler Center.

I propose we rename the practice facility the Jimmy Butler Center.

And Marquette will henceforth play all home cames on Jimmy Butler Court.

What about DJO?

I am not saying that there are no other factors for our success this year.  DJO is important.  But players like JC and EWill can look at Butler and say "I want his role" and JB got his role by a ton of hard work during the off season.  I think JB sets a good path to success, that's all.
