Where will Marquette land?
Now that Marquette is out of the Big East tournament all that is left is to wait until Selection Sunday to see what seed is given the Golden Eagles.

I was at the tournament in Chicago last year when we played Northern Iowa. We were way to quick for them. I hope we get Northen Iowa. I do not care who the second game is against.
Jerry Palm has us playing Richmond in an 8/9 game.
Richmond is really good.
I don't want that game in round one.
I'd love to see Gonzaga, Northern Iowa, or someone like Minnesota. I wouldn't want to play Utah St. or Mizzou again.
I wondered about a Utah St potential matchup. Would the NCAA match up the same teams in the first game two years in a row? I doubt that there is a rule agasinst it, but I would think they would avoid the same match up.

I think we're going to get someone like San Diego State or Cal or Wake Forest....maybe even a UNLV.
We are a 8/9 seed and Richmond will be seeded higher than that. Richmond plays a princeton style offense. I wouldn't mind playing them but its not going to happen.
My guess is we will probably be playing one of the following teams: Texas, Oklahoma St., Clemson, St. Marys, Missouri, Cal, N. Iowa or UNLV.
they try not to match up teams two years in a row if they can avoid it. byu and somebody ended up playing two years in a row in 08 and 09 because byu cant play on saturday (i think) cuz they're mormons and the no home games and no conference matchups take precedence and forced the committee to put them together again.
so no, we will not be playing Utah State again.
The Utah State matchup location was crap. The crowd was 90% Utah State fans.
I'm worried about being in the backyard of our opponent.

Yeah, it's pretty bad when you gotta play an 11 seed in their own backyard practically. When it comes to the NCAA tourney the last few years we've had some real bad luck. About time that changes this year.

Yeah. I was there. LOTS of Stanford alums...and generally PAC-10 alums.

No team can hope to beat Stew Morrill back-to-back.

some would say downright legendary, if pulled off
The nightmare matchup for us would be Texas. Their predicted to be an 8/9 as well
After going through the BE conference and season, I am not scared of Texas.
