I saw that Burr was officiating. I'm not saying the result would have been different. He is nearly completely blind, yet he still blows his whistle all the time. A very inconsistently officiated game.
Officiating had nothing to do with our loss..
Getting minimal production out of DJO, Buycks, etc. is what killed us, not to mention G Town has that really good 6'10" guy.
There was not a single point in that game that I thought we would win. not even for a moment.

Yes, a really good player, who through his play in the last week is raising his NBA stock rapidly.
Monroe was terrific. Hope Otule is half as good next year.

Burr does suck. I don't blame him for the loss, especially considering we lost by 20. We were slow to loose balls, couldn't rebound, and Monroe decided to go Dirk Nowitski on us. This tournament doesn't matter. We won a couple including a revenge win against Villanova and we are in the NCAA tournament. As long as we don't end up an 8 or a 9 seed, I will be happy...

Otule will not be half as good as Monroe, probably not a quarter as good.
Monroe stats for tonight: 23 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists. Almost a triple double for a 6ft 10 center.
How about a third? ;D
40%? ;D

totally agree. O'tule is not even close to the answer.
Look, it'll be a major accomplishment if Otule isn't out for the season next year with a pulled groin.
Jim Burr definitely Blows and G-Town and Monroe are on a roll.
Besides not rebounding the Warriors had no ball movement in the 2nd half and settled for too many individual moves into traffic resulting in very few open looks.
It was a great Big East Tourney run and has been an unbelievable season!
Selection Sunday can't get here fast enough.

Down one at the 13 min mark I still had hope. It faded quickly thereafter. :(
Thank God Monroe's going to be gone after this year.
I don't want to face him again!
Georgetown's active zone pushed MU's shooters a step or two farther out. Their bigs made it difficult to slash and penetrate.
Let me preface with this: I absolutely LOATHE Jim Burr.
That said, I have no issues with the refs last night and they are usually the last thing I point out when discussing games...
But, after reffing for 3 straight nights (I think he did a game each day), how do you NOT KNOW WHAT 3 POINT LINE YOU SHOULD BE LOOKING AT?

and why did it take five minutes to review the replay and determine it WAS a three?

The commentators mentioned they were having a problem with the monitor.
Let's hope we don't run into Jim Burr in the NCAA's. Marquette is 0-6 in games in which he has reffed this season.
