is it just me or does every time mo acker gets a fast break if he has a guy on his tail that he gets rejected every single time, he is just too small and goes up too gingerly its like the other team gets to "tee off" on his potential shot that is surely going to get swatted, he is almost better off slowing it down and waiting for help on the break.
yep.
or he should just slam on the brakes and get creamed by the guy right behind him to pick up the foul.
Actually I don't even remember the last time he was blocked on the break besides the one by Monroe today. Generally he can take it on the fast break. This is just another stupid ticky tac thing to complain about as usual.
Acker has to throw that down. That way he doesn't get blocked.
I would like to see him pull back and set something up in the half court. He will probably get blocked nine out of ten times on a fast break, especially against a team with athletic bigs like Gtown

It's happened at least 4-5 times in the past month.
i called that block when he was at half court and i don't even feel that special about it

Fair enough. Speaking of Acker, the announcers are sure having a good time ripping on his height.
11:00 in the second half
to do what go down by 15??
maybe he should flush with authority!
i disagree. on a fast break with no one in front of you, you simply have to go to the hole no matter how small you are. the chances of that turning into 0 pts and a change of possession are slim. most times its either blocked out of bounds, scores a basket, or draws a foul. when theres someone in front of him, he usually does pull it back. but you cant just hit the breaks with nothing but the hoop in front of you.
the vast majority of ackers fast breaks, and when i say that i mean when he picks a pocket and is solo down the court, end in zero points it seems. acker makes the guy chasing him look like lebron james every time. its nuts,
Mo had a little ego issue. Now he didn't think he was better than he is. He just thought he was much, much taller. Monroe dealt with that for us and there endeth the lesson.
First thing a little man like Mo always needs to remember is "the rim is your friend"
He should just make it a habit to always do a reverse lay in on the break and use his left hand to finish and the rim to block off the bigger man (especially when you've got a guy who takes turds bigger than you breathing down your neck).
He's gotta take it to the rack. Slow down and he gets trampled or a fluke injury. Take it hard, if it gets blocked it gets blocked. How about Buzz gives the other guy who busts his a$$ to join the break when MO has it a steak dinner. You have to follow MO on the break.

Although I'd love to see that happen because in most instances the defender is thinking block the whole way, but not Mo. Nothing against him (he's tough as hell) but I just don't want to see him injured in a play like that. And chances are he'd catch a knee to the back of his head on a jump stop around the rim...

Wow. A guy on this board who has actually played basketball..............
DJO got rejected in the NOVA game when he tried to throw it down on a fast break.
Acker was looking at the other Georgetwon player and faded away from him which slowed him down some. I do not think he knew that Monroe was clsoing in on him. He should of just went straight to the basket.
