Post by: ATWizJr on March 12, 2010, 11:45:17 AM

No its todays bracket it says so in the top corner. It's bull$hit, just another example of why Lunardi is crazy, if we beat Georgetown tonight I want to hear an explanation of why were not in the top 25 in the nation.

Yesterday he had us as a 9 vs clemson. Im guessing this is because there are so many big east teams that we cant play them until regionals. However we will jump about 4 seeds if we win tonight.

Yesterday's brackets did have us as a 9 ad now we are a 10 seed playing Gonzaga. I do not understand how we dropped a spot after beating #10 Villanova. I do like the draw playing Kansas State in the 2nd round as a side note. What seed does everyone think we can get if we win tonight and lose in the championship and if we were to win the championship? I think we could get a 6 if we win the whole thing!

I take that back... I thought that was the same projection as yesterday morning (which would have been Wednesday's bracket).

I don't know... either Lunardi's lost it or it's got to be an error.

I believe they will be a 6 if they win tonight even if they lose tomorrow. If they win both they will be a lock for a 5 no doubt in my mind. You have to remember also that this guy is paid to strike up conversation. Although he is good at picking the teams we all know he is not good at placing seeds. This is all just for conversation.

Lunardi's never been good at picking seeds.  It's best to ignore his brackets.

Yeah agreed, Lunardi is not good at picking seeds, but he is something like 99% effective in picking the team that get in.

Lunardi is biased and not credible.

If anything he is biased towards Marqeuette too, he had us in the tournament at the beginning of the year when people had us finishing 12th or lower in the conference.

If we win tonight Lunardi will put us as an 11 seed.

So we go from a 9 to 10 after beating Nova. And Notre Dame goes from out to a 7.  Huh.  Wow.  Yea that makes no sense what so ever.

Luna-ardi makes no sense.  However, if it ends up with us playing in a 7/10 game its' fine with me.  I'll just consider us the 7 regardless!

So is he ignoring the Villanova win?  The arrow isn't even pointing up, not that the arrow means much, but they've won like 11 of the last 13 or something.  I know ND is playing well, but does he really think they're a 7 seed?  They have a garbage OOC schedule and some glaring losses on their resume.

Its because he has a pro-Crean agenda.

All are more historically accurate than Lunardi. Lunardi has us as a nine, but procedurally moved us to a ten.

Chances are that some of it has to do with rules not playing another Big East team until the Regional finals.  A lot of times teams have to be bumped up or down a seed to make that work.  Lunardi has to figure all of that in.  It doesn't mean he has an agenda or that he's crazy.

Let's just hope Buzz holds up Lunardi's bracket in the huddle just before tipoff tonight for a little extra motivation.

Bleacher report has us as # 27 on their S curve making us a 7 and playing UTEP in the 7/10 game.

I'd take it.  Get to see Mr. Caracter again.

Lunardi hasn't figured those situations in over the past couple weeks.  He had us playing in MKE and he had us in the same bracket portion as another BEast team.  I'm not saying that you're wrong because Lunardi may have started trying a tad harder, but that would be news to me!
