Title: It serves you right Jay Wright...
Post by: Dawson Rental on March 11, 2010, 06:35:02 PM
for not voting for Buzz for Coach of the Year in the Big East.

OK, I don't really know how Wright voted, but he probably went with Boeheim.

I thought he was very complimentary of MU when he was interviewed going into halftime. Talked about us always bringing it for 40 minutes....wasn't being a d-bag....think he admires our team's grit and hard work.

Yeah, yeah, but HOW DID HE VOTE?

True enough, I agree with you 100%.  I didn't really mean this thread as a anti Jay Wright thing, I meant it more as a Buzz don't get no respect sort of thing.  Had to use Mr. Wright because he had the unfortunate timing to be Buzz and the team's latest victim.

Buzz should have been voted coach of the year in the Big East - no question - right?

Yup, I like Wright too.

Good guys
Buzz (obviously)
Wright
Boeheim
JT3

Bad Guys
Pitino
Huggy Bear
Gonzo

I'm never sure about Calhoun, sometimes he comes off as a real prick but other times I like his tough gritty persona. He basically built UCONN from the ground up, and has never really dissed Marquette. I'm kind of indifferent to Dixon, and the other ones I don't really care about. Cronin and Stan Heath seem like pretty decent coaches.

I'd subtract Boeheim and add Dixon.  I don't really have much against Boeheim.  We just haven't beat him since joining the BE.

Nova is my 2nd-favorite BE team. Probably my 2nd-favorite team in college basketball. That said, they're a LONG way from 1st on that list!

Frustrating, isn't it?  Haven't we beaten WVU twice and everyone else at least three times, but Cuse 0?

He was very complimentary about Marquette after losing to St. John's.... he basically said he wished his players had as much hustle and heart as MU
