.... UNLESS MU loses out the remainder of the season and going one and done in the conference tournament. Not gonna happen. I think it sucks that we are sliding and our seeding but it is not nearly as bad as people (and the trolls) think.
I am backing up my claim that 21 wins will get us into the dance... Looking at last year's bracket even the UW hyphen rodents squeaked (pun intended) into the tourney with a 19-11 so-so record. MU had 20 wins. Seton Hall and Indiana only had 18.

(It's on wiki so it must be true)
We definitely need a momentum swing down the stretch to actually make a difference in the conference tourney and NCAA.
I agree but besides the Uconn game- tonight's game with villanova is most important game of SEASON
-I'm the last guy to hit the panic button but if they lose tonight and can't get it back on track, they will have a 500 BEast record and if they lose opening Big east tourney game-7 game losing streak
-So, tonight is a MUST WIN- ND hasn't lost all the Joyce center and Pitt. would love to return the favor on national TV
ITs an interesting game tonight as the only team in conference who needs to win a game more than us right now is Villanova. They are similar to us in that they are a young team who has found ways to lose rather than to win. That's been us, at least the last few games. Hopefully we can turn it around tonight, and that could be a tough task as I think villanova is a solid, tough team.
Actually, it's only 20, one team we played was DII. But, I agree 21 wins and we are dancing, let's get that 21st tonight.
I will bet all of my worldly possessions that Marquette makes the 2007 NCAA tournament.

The Hillsdale game counts in our record--just not in calculation of the RPI. We now have 22 wins.
Probably the key factor now is that we will be over .500 in conference play after the "nova win. That plus our "body of work" now guarantees MU an NCAA bid. the question now is seeding. If we lose out, the seed could be a 10. Win the next two and one in the BE tourney and its a 4. Lets keep winning.
You are correct we have 22 wins, the record book etc. will all say 22. But in the eyes of the RPI and the committee the Hillsdale game never existed. Many pundits ar saying Winthrop as an at-large due to their 25-4? record. However, as is then always brought up they have 4 wins against non-DI teams so in the NCAA's eyes they never existed.
More importantly we got to 9-7, and that was the fear with the remaining schedule. With our RPI, list of significant W's, a winning BE record was the final requirement to punch that ticket.
