Who are you all hoping to see win? I guess I want 'Cuse, to strengthen their bid for a #1 seed. And, if MU can win 1 or 2 more, maybe we could end up with higher priority seeding than G'town. I'm thinking in terms of how the committee might seed 8 or 9 BEast teams. They're likely to need to move a team or two up or down (usually down) in order to avoid matchups. I think MU has paid the price for this in the past, so it would be nice if it was G'Town this year.
GT.
I'd rather meet them Friday night after we beat 'Nova than have to try and matchup with 'Cuse.
Gotta support the Jesuits- GTown all the way.
G'town...I'd rather play an exhausted G'town than Syracuse, which will only have played 1 game going into Friday night. I also think if we played G'town Friday night we'd have better odds of playing Saturday night than if we played against Syracuse.
G'Town over 'Cuse in a 7OT thriller...
Although that'd probably move our game back to 3 PM CT.
that would be great for me if it got moved back. the later it is, the more chance i have of being able to watch it. 8 OTs!
Interesting how my mind focused on the impact for the NCAA tournament while the responses thusfar are focused on the BEast tournament. Hmmm.

I'm hoping for a 16OT ironman competition so I can watch the game at home at 5PM.
g'town
I hate cuse so much

Upside: We get to play a team coming off a 7OT thriller.
Gotta beat Nova first... one thing at a time
Syracuse. I'd like to see the Big East Tourney turn into the Marquette Revenge Tour.
If MU beats 'Nova, what time would the game with the GTown/Syracuse winner be?
7pm eastern time
Georgetown is up 1 on Syracuse with 10 and a half to go.
Come on Hoyas!
Is this a serious question? G'town for all the obvious reasons.

I like the title Marquette Revenge Tour.
We would play at 6:00 CT Friday.
Go G-Town.
Georgetown is now up 9 with 6 to go.
Onuaku down....looks bad. Wait! He's up!
Onuaku just looked like he hurt his knee badly. he had to be helped to the bench and just left the court
Cuse is losing by 6 with 5 to go
Misery (from the free throw line) loves company. G-town is choking down the stretch.
Where's Deshontey Riley?
Wow. Cuse is dead without Onuaku.
Syracuse is the one team in the Big East against whom I think we have zero chance of winning.
Cuse is done. Georgetown will advance.
We need to take care of business today

I agree...with Pitt not that far behind. Honestly, if Georgetown holds on, this is about as good as MU could have hoped for.
Now, it's up to us.
Anybody notice that Gerry McNemera (probably spelled that wrong) was going through the handshake line at the end of the game? Is he some kind of assistant coach or graduate assistant, does anybody know?
Final - G'town 91, Cuse 84
If, IF, we can win this afternoon, I feel good about tomorrow night's game. Need to take care of Nova first.

I saw that too. Grad assistant. http://blog.syracuse.com/orangebasketball/2009/07/gerry_mcnamara_will_join_syrac.html
