Title: WIAA Boys Sectionals at the McGuire Center
Post by: Brewtown Andy on March 11, 2010, 09:04:02 AM
So I'm going to be at the D1 sectionals at the Al tonight and tomorrow night.  I know I should keep an eye out for JP Tokoto & Menomonee Falls tomorrow night, but are there any other interesting players to watch for?  Here's the matchups:

Tonight:
Milwaukee King vs. Nicolet
Milwaukee Washington vs. Marquette University HS

Tomorrow:
Arrowhead vs. Waukesha West
Germantown vs. Menomonee Falls

Showalter from Germantown is a sophmore and is really good.  He is the coaches son.

Ben Mills from Arrowhead is a seven footer, you can't miss him.  He is going to Boise State.

Johnathon Phillips from the Falls has a walkon offer to play at UW Madison
Falls has a nice senior laden backcourt with Connor Cassidy, John Cording, and Adam Rubatt.  You might see some of these guys playing D3 college ball next year.

For those in the Waukesha area, Friday night will be the sectional semifinal between Flavien Davis of Wisconsin Lutheran and Catholic Memorial.  The winner has to be the odds on favorite for the state title.  7:00 PM at Waukesha West.

D2 de facto Championship Game Friday night @ Waukesha West.   Catholic Memorial vs. Wisconsin Lutheran.  These are the 2 best D2 teams in the state, meeting in a sectional semi final.

TJ Bray of CM is a great high school hoops player.  His mom and dad are MU alums.  (Grandparents, uncles, probably more).  He's going to Princeton to play hoop and get a job earning millions on Wall Street.

Finkel on Arrowhead is a fun guard to watch.  He will take 20+ shots, and is quicker then quick.
