off topic but... Does Buycks know how to inbounds the ball under the basket?
Dorris Burke... jackpot
How about not trying to force the ball in when Lazar is double and triple teamed
Pretty sloppy play by Marquette thus far. Could be up 15 if we executed better. (19-11 right now)
Dwight is lost out there, and Buzz is trying to scramble the lineup (Ewill and Junior) because JB drew the quick two fouls.
St Johns is extending way too far on D. MU needs to drive on them instead of just pouding the ball on the outside.
Yeah, everything is open inside once he hit all those 3s early.
DJO has seemed a little off the last 4 halfs now since his red-hot 1st half against Lousiville. Would love to see him have a big 2nd half here.
Seven turnovers with 2 minutes to go have hurt. Four of them have been passes lobbed to Lazar which have been deflected and one was Buycks on inbound pass.
Need to cut down on them. St. Johns shooting 26% and I don't know if that will continue.
Keep up the good D with Butler on bench for whole first half and we are looking good.
This thing should have been a blowout at half, but it isn't.
And another game where MU plays a terrible last couple minutes to end a half.
How do you not get a shot off with 9 seconds left? That crap is on the coach.
A 10 pt lead with no Jimmy. I'll take it.
No the crap is on Acker who gave the ball up too late to hayward.
Gottleib just said MU doesnt have an NBA candidate on our team.
Really??!? Lazar? and i know its early, but DJO?
QuoteA 10 pt lead with no Jimmy. I'll take it.
At least with a win today Jimmy will be fairly fresh.

+1
Anytime you allow 17 points in a half, I'll take it.

With 8 turnovers and Butler sitting out first half, a 10 point lead is just fine.
Could it be more? Yes. But defensively MU playing excellent and now Butler cannot pick up a quick third.

Add me to the ignore list.
To their credit - St. John's is playing good D too, our offense is just working better.
Sitting courtside. So how many wide open looks has SJU missed? Ugly.
Gottlieb at half says MU has no NBA players.

Doris Burke said she loves Jimmy Butler. you should change your name.
Buzz can't draw up plays during a timeout
Marquette better wake up or this could be a long 2nd half.
we're stagnant like we were against Pitt. Better get control soon b/c the impartial crowd will jump on the underdog down the stretch. Absolutely ridiculous to lose control of this game.
Why is it that every game we have a several minute period of time where we look like the Hadley
School for the Blind plying basketball?
wtf is up with hayward and cubillan shouting at eachother?
Cooby needs to shut up and listen to lazar....someone forgot to tell him lazar has been there before.
Need to play better D down the stretch.
Butler has been complete wimp this game...
SJU defense has stifled our ability in the paint. stupid passes into Lazar when he is double teamed. And guard play that is less than stellar
CUBILLANNNNN!!!!!
PUUUUUUUUUURE (in a gus johnson voice)
another front end missed late in the game...ugh
Play tomorrow like we did today and we'll get smoked. One and done in Ncaa.
Phew! Missed free throws almost were the death of us.
Alright we picked up the W albeit another close game. That may be a good thing for us with NCAA tournament games possibly being like this to.
Lets go get Villanova tomorrow!
A win is a win, but we need to play helluva better game tomorrow.
Making Free Throws = Winning Games
Looking forward to redemption tomorrow.
Must have a better game from Butler tomorrow. 1-3 from the floor, 1-3 from the line for 3 points. 3 fouls, only played 2 minutes in the first half. Yikes.

We haven't been smoked all year, and I'm guessing we don't tomorrow either. However, I agree we need to play better if we want a chance at winning.

Butler has been complete wimp this game...
Butler must still be in Milwaukee, and DJO must have had a brain transplant with Yous because he looked like he never played basketball before. Hopefully we wake up for tomorrow...it'll help that Nova doesn't play defense.
Survive and Advance!
A few times it looked like and 8 year old getting the ball stolen by his 14 year old brother out there for MU today. They just took it from us. Need to clean that up or tomorrow will be ugly.
I'm all for the just get the W and move on attitude at tourney time, but it's hard to be real excited after this one. I suppose it sure beats how ticked I'd be if we lost. Can't believe, once again, we miss front ends of one and ones.
Luck was on our side today, but they need to snap out of this weird funk and start playing like they did earlier in the year. I feel like St. Johns wanted this game more but fortunately fell short in the end.
Also, burn the Gold uniforms!

Earlier in the year? Like...seven days ago? It's tourney time baby. There wasn't a lot that separated us from the St. Johns and Seton Halls of the world this year. We won those games, but they were all close. Even the ones we lost were close. We aren't going to blow many people out, and vice versa.
I am sick of the missed one-and-ones at the end of games. That's how we lost four additional games this year. Shoot 75% from the line as a team for the year, but miss two front ends in the final minute today. Can't happen again. Not this late in the season. A recipe for disaster.
After that game, I need a milkshake.

That lob pass down to Hayward HAS to stop!

Bob had a pretty hawt girlfriend, too.
