This team has overcome adversity all year, and has played its heart out. It was one loss and alot of people are jumping from the bandwagon. An all time Marquette greats senior day was practically empty because many fans left...We are still in the tournament, and the fans should have stayed til the end

Agreed.
People really need to chill about this one. First, you dont foul and basically extend the game with 20+ seconds left. Have to play D there. And they played GREAT defense. Just got a bad bounce and the guy hit the shot.
We have gotten just about every break the past 12 games. This time it evened out. THESE THINGS HAPPEN.
Just win one in NYC and we're fine. I'm confident in these guys.
Tough loss, we missed 9 shots in a row. Things happens, as said above. On to NY and let's win a couple there!
GO MARQUETTE!!
It's just so GD frustrating to see so much hard work pissed away at the enfd of games. Onward.
In my opinion, the biggest reason we lost today is because we didn't play hard. ND got all the 50/50 balls that we had been getting. We settled for too many jump shots that were contested. We did not drive to the basket with any consistency. I could go on and on. This is the first game I can remember where I thought we didn't play hard (I did not see the Depaul game).
As an aside, when will the head of NCAA officiating due his job and tell Jim Burr he has to retire. I understand that officials miss calls, and I'm not saying that he had anything to do with the outcome, but he often misses calls that aren't even close, and he didn't disappoint yesterday. Today he was working the Wis.-Ill. game and the Badgers shoot with around 2 seconds left on the shot clock, Illinois rebounds and has already gotten to half court for a run out, when Burr blows his whistle for a shot clock violation. Every time I go to a game and see him, I cringe.

That right there was the absolute key because in the last couple of games Cubillan always seemed to be in the right spot at the right time. On the missed 3 at the end of regulation that was not the case, and when Lazar fouled out the game was over
Why whine? Because that's their personality. This is one of the best seasons I've ever seen. Ton of fun.

I wouldn't say that the team didn't play hard. They just didn't seem to have the same sense of urgency as they did against Louisville. Tuesday's win basically locked up their spot in the Big Dance. The team relaxed just a little bit and ended up beat by an inferior team who was playing with a sense of urgency on Saturday. It happens.
IMO, the biggest issue was that MU wasn't hitting from the outside. It's amazing how good a team looks when their shots are going in.
