I'd love to know the history of this shirt.
Is it from a particular year?
For a particular game?

Thanks

From what I can recall...

I first saw it back in the mid-90s. Not sure the exact year. And don't know if it was based on a previous idea/shirt.
They were printed by some students and sold off-campus. Very popular shirts...I just couldn't get my hands on one at the time. :(

Nice! Saw this at the game today.  Too bad I can't post it on the fb walls of the ND relatives today.

Love the thought, but my Catholic guilt tells me that it's just. plain. disrespectful. :/

Not to the team, that is...

Correction: it's the first thing they tell you. ;-)

The shirt was created by Phi Kappa Theta in 1989 -- spring semester.  We made thousands of them to pay for beer.  We reprinted them several times during my undergrad years -- then when MU dropped Warriors a buddy moved onto the 'Warriors Forever' sweatshirt craze (until a 'cease and desist' letter arrived).  Then he got more of these shirts printed.

Anyway, the t-shirt lasted longer than the chapter of our fraternity but I'm glad to see the shirts remain part of the MU hoops tradition  ;D

I'D SAY!
My frosh year was 1993 and they were a HOT commodity!
Finding someone who had one was like being alone, knocking on the Safe House door.
